HomeMy WebLinkAbout1887_001AN -ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAJ "PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS" in the opinion, of at least three -,fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or fQr the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect, to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to .sell said personal property; 11OR', TAEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOA -RD OF TRUSTEES OF THI]LI-A VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Ill, Rev. Stat., C24, Section -11-76-4,, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following described property: Two (2) Plectron Chief, Model R2B3, Serial #15090 and 15094 Radio Receivers One (1) each Plectron Chief, Model R2B4, Serial #25950 Radio Receiver Two (2) each Plectron Chief, Model 12B5, Serial #45870 and 45881 Radio Receivers' Thirteen (13) Plectron Chief, Model R4B3, Serial #14313, 150545 15055, 15056, 15063, 15068, 15070, 150715 150725 15073, 15074, 150765 15079 All used in as -is condition, equipped for operation on V.H.F. (150 MHZ) and arrainged for fast duo tone sequential activation of 2575HZ and 707HZ Now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect and the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by its sale. ,SECTION TWO: That, pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, to the highest bidder therefor. Said sale shall be conducted through the receipt of seale"'d bids.. SECTION THREE: That, the Village Manager is. hereby authorized and directed to advertise the sale of the of personal property- in a newspaper published within the community not less than ten (10) days before the date of said Bid Opening. ,SECTION FOUR: That,, the Village of Mount Prospect - reserves the right to reject any and all bids. ,,SECTION FIVE: That,, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement for the said sale of said personal property which shall be advertised for by publishing the following notice once in The Daily Herald, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: rr NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that the Village Manager ofthe Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, will receive bias at the office of the Village Manager, 100 out Emerson Street, until 10:00 a.m. C.D.S.T., August 11, 1981 at which time the Bid Proposals for the purchase of eighteen (18) Plectron Radio Receivers, no warranty available, which radios are presently owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, will be opened and publicly read. SECTION'" O -. Any additions or amendments to this Municipal Code when passed in such form as to indicate the intention of the Village board to make the same a part hereof shall be deemed to be incorporated in this Code so that a reference to the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect shall be understood as including them. SECTION THREE,-. The Village Clerk shall maintain three copies of this Municipal Code. These copies shall be printed and preserved by the Village Clerk in a book or binder in loose --leaf form so that all amendments thereto and all general ordinances hereafter passed may be inserted in their appropriate places in such volumes, and all section of the Code or ordinances repealed from time to time may be extracted therefrom for the purpose of maintaining said three copies in such condition that they will show all general ordinances passed up to date at any time in such manner that ready reference may be had thereto. SECTIO" FOUR,* The Village Clerk shall prepare and publish revised sheets or every loose --leaf page in need of revisions by reason of amendment or repeal at intervals and not exceeding one year. The Village Clerk shall distribute said revised loose-leaf sheets as well as said Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect for such fee as the Village Board shall direct. SECTION EIRE: All printed copies of this Municipal Code shall be deposited with the Village Clerk. The Village Clerk shall deliver one copy thereof to the Village President and one copy to each Village Trustee and one copy to each head of a department of the Village, two copies to the Mount Prospect Public Library, and copies to such other persons in each department of the Tillage as requested or required . The Village Clerk shall sell printed copies of said Code at such price as the Village Board shall fix. SECTION SIX: Every section number contained by the Municipal) Code shall consist of three component parts. The first figure shall refer to the Chapter number, the second figure shall refer to the Article within that Chapter and the third figure shall refer to the section of that Article. SECTION SEVEN: Reference to any section of the Municipal Code shall be understand to refer to and include the penalty section relating thereto unless otherwise expressly provided. SECTION EIGHT: If any part, section, sentence or clause of this MuM1C1T)al - Code shall be adjudged void and of no effect, such decision shall not effect the validity of the remaining portion of the Code. SECTION NINE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and -publication in pamphlet form as provided rovided by law. AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF RAND ROAD, EAST OF GREGORY STREET EXTENDED., TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, the land hereinafter described is both contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and wholly bounded on all sides by the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS , the said territory is not presently within the boundaries of any municipality; and WHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) acres; and WHEREAS, the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13 provides for the annexation of such territory by the Village upon passage of an Ordinance pursuant thereto -9 and WHEREAS , the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that said land and territory be annexed thereto.
