RESOLUTION NO. 21-07
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT HELD APRIL 17. 2007
WHEREAS, the Consolidated General Election was held in and for the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, for the purpose of electing
three Village Trustees for four year terms, and two Library Trustees for six year terms; one
Library Trustee for a two year term, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby declare
the results of the April 17, 2007 election for said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That pursuant to the Consolidated Election Laws of the State of Illinois, a regular
election was held for the Village of Mount Prospect, Tuesday, April 17, 2007.
SECTION TWO: That an official canvass was conducted on May 7, 2007 by the Cook County
Clerk's Canvassing Board for the Village of Mount Prospect declaring that 4,622 ballots were
counted as follows:
Villaae Trustee - 4-year terms
Paul Wm. Hoefert 3,437
A. John Korn 3,334
Arlene A. Juracek 3,359
William O. Walters 1,799
Library Trustee - 6-year terms
Jane W. Everett 3,581
Charles J. Fuller 3,423
Library Trustee - 2-year term
John Zulaski 3,591
SECTION THREE: A) Inasmuch as Paul Wm. Hoefert, A. John Korn, and Arlene A. Juracek
received the greatest number of votes, they are hereby declared elected to the Office of Village
Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect for four-year terms;
B) Inasmuch as Jane W. Everett, and Charles J. Fuller received the greatest number of votes,
they are hereby declared elected to the Office of Library Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect
for six-year terms.
C) Inasmuch as John A. Zulaski received an uncontested number of votes, he is hereby
elected to the office of Library Trustee for one two-year term.
SECTION FOUR: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution
to the Cook County Election Department and the State Board of Election Commissioners, as
provided by law.
SECTION FIVE: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval in the manner provided by law.
