Fred Steinmiller, representing the Mount Prospect Jaycees, requesting the Board to waive the fees involved with their annual Jaycees Carnival in May. B. OLD BUSINESS A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance authorizes the sale of property commonly known as 208 W. Hiawatha Trail. The property will be developed as a single family lot, reserving an easement for Village access to Weller Creek. (Exhibit A) B. ZBA 56-V-841 1825 Magnolia Lane lst reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1825 MAGNOLIA LANE This Ordinance grants a side yard variation and floor area ratio of 0.32 in order to construct an addition to,,a single family residence. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended 6-0 to grant the variations. (Exhibit B) C. ZBA 2 -SU -85r 824 East Rand Road This case, continued from the February 19, 1985, meeting of the Village Board, deals with a request to amendment the Planned Unit Development to permit a banquet hall instead of a cinema and to permit two free standing signs instead of the permitted one sign. The petitioner was requested to work with the other tenants of this development in order to improve the entire parking lot. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended 6-0 in favor of this request. D. ZBA 6-A-85, 620 East Northwest Highway lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WITH RESPECT TO ZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE B-4 BUSINESS, RETAIL AND SERVICE DISTRICT This Ordinance re -zones the subject property from B-3 to B-4 in order to permit an automotive service operation. The Zoning Board of AppeaIs recommended 6-0 to grant the B-4 zoning. (Exhibit C) E. ZBA 7-V-85, 620 East Northwest Highway lst reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 620 E. NORTHWEST HIGHWAY This Ordinance grants a variation to permit an encroachment into the rear yard. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended 6-0 to grant this variation. (Exhibit D) F. ZBA 8-V-85, Opus Corporation lst reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS KENSINGTON CENTER This Ordinance grants a variation to permit an Office building 55 feet in height. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended denial by a vote of 2-4. (Exhibit E) X. NEW BUSINESS A. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE SUBURBAN BUS DIVISION OF THE RTA This Resolution authorizes an agreement to provide taxi cab service to senior citizens and handicapped persons. (Exhibit F) B. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT The subject property is a 12" force sewer main which is no longer used by the Village. The main is located at the intersection Of Busse Road and Oakton and was within the former right-of-way of Higgins Road. La Quinta Motors Inns, Inc. has submitted a proposal to purchase the main for $9,000. (Exhibit G) XI. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. Bid Results: 1- Emergency water interconnection 2. Storm Sewer Outfall Repairs B. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, SECTION 8.603, OF THE VILLAGE CODE This Ordinance amends the Code relative to employee organizations. (Exhibit H) C. Consultant's Selection Prospect Avenue Improvements D. Update on Forest River Fire Protection District E. Update on Village's request before the Illinois Commission Commission (ICC) relative to the railroad right-of-way improvement. XII. ANY OTHER BUSINESS XI I I. ADJOURNMENT
