ZBA 48-V-84, St. Paul Federal Bank, Plaza lst reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 940 EAST RAND ROAD IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance grants a variation to permit an addition to an existing non -conforming sign. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 6-0 in favor of this request. (Exhibit A) B. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF .MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance authorizes the sale of property commonly ?mown as 248 W. Hiawatha Trail to be developed as a single family dwelling. This Ordinance also authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to execute the Contract to Sell the property. (Exhibit B) C. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC CODE) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance authorizes a STOP sign on Can Dota at Sha Bonee Trail, as requested the residents of that area. (,Exhibit C Ix. NEW BUSINESS A. ZBA 56 -V -84y 1825 Magnolia,Lane This request is for a 41 81' side yard, instead of 51 and to allow a floor area ratio of 0.32 instead of 0.30. These variations have been requested in order to construct an addition to a single family residence. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 6-0 in favor of the variations. B. ZBA 1 -SU -85r 1405 S. Hickory This case has been continued at the Zoning Board level. C. ZBA 2 -SU -85, 824 East Rand Road The request is for a Special Use to permit a banquet hall instead of a Cinema as specified in a Planned Unit Development known as Thunderbird Subdivision, and to allow two free standing signs instead of one. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 6-0 in favor of the request. D. ZBA 3 -Al 4 -SUI 5-V-85, Northeast Corner William St. and Golf Road The petitioner has requested this case to be continued to a future date. E. ZBA 6-Z-85 and 7-V-85, 620 East Northwest Highway These requests involve a re -zoning from B-3 to B-4 in order for an automotive service operation to be permitted at this location and a variation to permit an encroachment in the rear yard. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommends 6-0 to grant the requests. F. ZBA 8-V-85, Kensington Center for Business This request is to permit an office building 55 feet in height, instead of the permitted 30'foot*. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 2 in favor and 4 against this request. G. Community Development Block Grant Audit H. Proposal for Village auditor for Fiscal Year 1984/85. X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. Bid Results: 1. Police Squad replacement vehicles B. Request to waive bidding procedure in order to purchase defibrillator equipment for the para -medics. This is specialized equipment. C., A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE CITY OF DES PLAINES FOR EMERGENCY WATER INTERCONNECTION This Agreement authorizes an emergency water inter- connection with Des Plaines. The Village of Mount Prospect will assume 70% of the cost. (Exhibit D) D. Update on Forest River Fire Protection District Agreement E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, SECTION 8.603 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance amends the Code relative to employee organizations.
