stated that he had notified Uniform .Rental Systems that the
existing contract With the Village would be terminated as
of October 1, 1980.

Uniform Rental Systems by mail that the Village will
terminate their contract effective October 15, 1980.

Mr. Burghard presented the bid results of three ,
Truck Crab Chassis
truck cab and chassis (tabulation sheet attached to these
minutes). Mr. Burghard explained that the apparent low
bidder did not meet the specifications set forth and therefore
requested that the Board reject that bid.

resolve that having considered the bids submitted for three
truck cab and chassis only farad, Haat'the low bid.' of Hoskins
Chevrolet does not qualify with the biddin.g specifications
and requirements for the reasons set forth. In the memorandum
of the Director of Public Works dated August 28 , 1980, and
having considered ,,that memor «dura.. , the Board finds that

the Hos,,- _a bid should be redected and therefore does reject
the Hoskins bid for failure to meet the bid specifications
(a copy of said memorandum 'is attached to these minutes).

Ken Fritiz, Director of Community Development, presented
K-MART - MAISEL
a report on changes to the site plan of the K Mart building
Mount Prospect Plaza
presently under construction at the Mount Prospect Plaza
by Maisel Corporation noting that the senior citizen housing
proposed for the site behind the Plaza necessitate some of
the requested amendments to the ordinance approving
the K Mart structure.
Mr. Fritz noted that some of the requested amendment 's would
require a hearing before the Zoming Board of Appeals, however,
buffer strips, traffic islands , and the other requests could
be, accomp'lished by amending Ordinance No. 2923,

direct the attorney to draft the necessary ordinance amending
Ordinance No.relative to the requirements for K Mart.
which amendments would be contingent upon the acquisition
of Che proposed site for the seniior citizen housing by the
V11"ilage of Mount Prospect.

Mr. Burgh."rd presented An Ordinance Amending Section 24.801
AM-END CH. 24
of'the Mum*ci*pal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect for
first reading. This ordinance i's required by IDOT M6
conjunction with the proposed 'improvement of Northwest
Highway and will be presented September 16th for second
reading.
DISPOSE OF VILLAGE
Mr. Burghard presented a request to dispose of Village owned
OWNED PROPERTY
property, namely 3 40 HP submersible pumps and an electric
control panel and presented An Ordinance Authorizing the
Sale of Certain Personal Property Owned by the Village of
Mount Prospect for first reading. This ordinance will be
presented September 16th for second reading,
General Counsel Marlin Smith presented a status report on
CITIZENS UTILITIES
the most recent rate increase request sought by Citizens
Utilities Water Company before the ICC and requested Board
direction as to whether the Village would want General
Counsel 'to review the issue with the possibility of
intervening. It was the opinlion of the Board that General
Counsel should present a report on the proceedings for
further study by the Board.

Trustee Richardson explaiined that the absence of Mayor Krause
was due to the passing of the Mayor's father.

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect passed and approved on July 12, 1979, Ordinance
0
No. 2923 Amending Ordinance No. 2774 and Granting a Special Use
Permit for the K -Mart Property and Specified Varlations for the
Cermak Property; and
WHEREAS, Cermak, Inc. and Maisel & Associates o ' f Michigan have
requested relief from certain conditions imposed upon them 'in
said Ordinance No. 2923; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Propsect have determined that the request made by Cermak,
Inc. and Maisel & Associates of Michigan 'is reasonable, and that
it is inihe 'Interest of the Village of Mount Prospect to amend
a 'd Ordinance No. 2923 'in order to grant the requested relief.

of the Village of Mount Prospect- Cook County, Illinoi

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24.801 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
