AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING APPROXHIATELY 8.5 ACRES OF
LAND LYING HEST OF ELHHURST ROAD HIMEDIATELY NORTH
AND SOUTH OF Rfu~D ROAD.
HHEREAS, property legally described as follows:
That part of the East 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 27,
Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian described as follows: Commencing at the point of
intersection of a line drawn from a point on the South line
of the East 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 aforesaid which is
758.61 feet East of the Southwest corner of the said East 1/2
of the Southwest 1/4 along a line which forms an angle of
90 degrees, 40 minutes, 40 seconds as measured from West to
North with the South line of the Southwest 1/4, said point
of intersection being on this line 33 feet North of the South
line of the Southwest 1/4 aforesaid; thence continuing North
along this line which forms the aforesaid angle a distance
of 454.35 feet; thence East along a line which forms an
angle of 90 degrees, 58 minutes, as measured from South to
East, with the last described line, for a distance of
253.93 feet to the center line of Rand Road; thence North-
westerly along the center line of Rand Road for a dis'tance
of 298.34 feet to a point of commencement of a curve; thence
Northwesterly along a curve having a radius of 15626.10 feet
and being convex to the Southwest for a distance of 68.20
feet; thence Northeasterly along a line 604.54 feet to a
point on the East line of the Southwest 1/4 aforesaid which
point is 1664.72 feet South of the Northeast corner of the
Southwest 1/4 aforesaid; thence South along the East line
of the Southwest 1/4 aforesaid to its intersection with the
Northeasterly right of way line of Rand Road; thence North-
westerly along the Northeasterly right of way line of Rand
Road to its intersection with the Hest right of way line
of Elmhurst Road, being a line 50 feet Hest of and parallel
with the East line of the Southwest 1/4 aforesaid; thence
South along said line 50 feet Hest of and parallel with the
East line of the Southwest 1/4 aforesaid 229.50 feet more
or less to an intersection with the Southwesterly line of
the right of way of Rand Road as widened, being a curved
line convex to the Northeast and having a radius of
488.35 feet; thence Southeasterly along said curved line
57.36 feet to an intersection with a line 33 feet North
of the South line of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 27
aforesaid; thence Hest along the line 33 feet North of the

HHEREAS, said land and territory is both contiguous and wholly
bounded by the Village of Hount Prospect; and

HHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois, and particularly
Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes 1965)
provides for the annexation of said territory upon the passage of an
ordinance by the Village; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect, County of Cook, find and believe it to be to the best
interest of said Village that the aforedescribed land and territory be
annexed thereto;
NOH, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook, Illinois:
SECTION ONE: That all land and territory lep,ally described
as follows, to-wit:

intersection with a line 33 feet North of the South line of

along the line 33 feet North of the South line of the Southwest
1/4 of Section 27 aforesaid to the point of bepinning, all in
Cook County, Illinois,
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect not presently
in any incorporated municipality but is in the unincorporated territory of
Cook County and whereas said territory is less than sixty (60) acres in
size, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect
so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines
I and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case made and provided.
I SECTION THO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance,
together with an accurate plat of said territory, with the Recorder of
Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION THReE: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval accordinr: to law.
