B0, Request from Mount Prospect Park District to
amend Class "G" liquor license classification
to allow sale of beer and wine all year round
instead of the existing April 1 through November 1
of each license year.
C. Request to transfer an existing Class "C" liquor
license issued to Balzamo, 2316 S. Elmhurst Road,
to a new owner. The name of the liquor store is
to be changed to Bolzano .
D. Ist reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE I OF
CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance establishes a $12.00 charge, payable
to the FBI Identification Division,for processing
finger print investigations in conjunction with

Board meeting, for the purpose of considering an
Annexation Agreement between Arrow Road Construction,
3401 South Busse Road, and the Village of
Mount Prospect.

This Ordinance amends the Zoning Ordinance to
permit asphalt manufacturing or refining'as a
special use in the I-1 District. (Exhibit P')

AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL USE TO ALLOW THE OPERATION
OF AN EXISTING ASPHALT MANUFACTURE AND REFINING
USE AND TO OTHER FUTURE SPECIFIED USES OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY AS A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT LOCATED IN
THE I-1 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, AS ZONED, IN THE
VILLAGE
As stated in the Annexation Agreement, the subject
property has requested a special use in the nature
of a planned unit development, this ordinance
grants that use. (Exhibit G)

VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE
ARROW ROAD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE VILLAGE
This Ordinance grants various variations, in line
with the existing operations of Arrow Road

2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN USE
PROVISIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE I-1 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL
DISTRICT OF CHAPTER 14 EN'T'ITLED "ZONING" OF THE VILLAGE
CODE
This Ordinance provides for a height limitation in the
I-1 District of 70 feet for radio and/or television
antenna. (Exhibit J)
C. Contracts with American Taxi Company and Courier 2000
for specified services in conjunction with operating a
taxi cab company authorized in the Village of
Mount Prospect. (Exhibit K)
D. 2nd, reading of AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUE OF
$1,900,000.00 UNLIMI'T ED AD VALOREM TAX BONDS OF SPECIAL
SERVICE AREA NUMBER FIVE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COCK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AND THE LEVY OF A DIRECT ANNUAL
TAX SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL, AND INTEREST ON
SAID BONDS
As stated, this Ordinance a.u��.horizes the Tillage to
issue bonds, setting forth the interest rate and payment
schedule, to finance: the construction costs involved with
the acquisition of Lake Michigan water. (Exhibit L)
E . A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND ,ACCEPT A DRAINAGE,
RECREATION ,AND ACCESS EASEMENT AGREEMENT REGARDING THE
SUBDIVISIONS ,AND RESUBDIVISIONS :KNOWN AS KENSINGTON
CENTER IN THE VILLAGE
This Resolution authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to
execute an Ea,sement. Agreement, which accepts specified
easements ,including the jogging path within the
Kensington Center for Business. (Exhibit M)

lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9
ENTITLED "STREETS AND SIDEWALKS" OF THE VILLAGE CGDE
This Ordinance deletes regulations on signs and awnings
from Chapter 9. The following ordinances place all in
regulations governing signs in Chapter 14 (Zoning) and
Chapter 21 (Building) . (Exhibit N)

This Ordinance places the regulations for signs within

H. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14
ENTITLED "ZONING" OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance incorporates various references, such
definitions, relative to the new Sign Ordinance. (Exhibit P)
I. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NEW ARTICLE XVII
ENTITLED "SIGNS AND AWNING" TO CHAPTER 21 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance places specified building regulations
governing signs in the Building Code, Chapter 21. (Exhibit Q)
J. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18
(TRAFFIC CODE) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
In line with the recommendations of the Safety Commission
and Village Board, this Ordinance places a 4 -way STOP
at Palm and Robert Drives, and reduces the speed limit
from 30 MPH to 20 MPH on Centennial Drive. (Exhibit R)

XI. NEW BUSINESS
A. The following cases were heard by the Zoning Board of
Appeals and recommendations were made as stated:
1. ZBA 27-Z-82, 28 -SU -82, 34-V-82, 1690 E. Euclid
These cases have been withdrawn by the petitioner,
since the public hearing.
2. ZBA 43 -SU -82, 44-V-82, 817 S. Elmhurst Road
These requests are to allow a group care home with
six adults, there are presently five adults at this
location, and a variation from the parking requirements.
The Zoning Board of Appeals voted to grant the
requested special use and variation.
3. ZBA 45-V-82, 901 E. Ardyce Lane
This request was to permit a solar room as an
addition to an existing home. The Zoning Board of
Appeals recommended denial of the request.
4. ZBA 47-V-82, 820 East Rand Road
This requested variation is to bring the existing
property (Giordano's Pizza) into conformity with
existing regulations by acknowledging the encroachment
of a wall in the front yard as well as off-street
parking. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended
approval of the request.
5. ZBA 48-A-82, Text Amendment
The text amendment deals with radio and television
transmitting and receiving towers in Residential
Districts. The Zoning Board of Appeals: recommended
a height limitation of 80 feet for institutional
locations.
6. ZBA 52-V-82, 1828 Willow Lane ,
The subject request for an addition to an existing
single family home. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended approval.
7. ZBA 54-V-82, 1821 Catalpa Lane
This request is to allow an addition be built to
an existing single family home. The Zoning Board of
Appeals recommends approval.
XII. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
A. Church's Subdivision, 1790 W. Algonquin Road
In accordance with recently granted variations,
the petitioner is required to place this parcel
into one lot of record. This parcel is located
at Dempster and Algonquin, and is the proposed
site of Church's Fried Chicken.
B. Selke's Resubdivision, 406 W. Central Road
This property, located at the corner of Central Road
and Northwest Highway, has applied for a building
permit for' remodeling, and in line with the Village.A
Code, the property must be placed in a'ldt'df record.
This plat will accomplish this requirement.'
