OFDINANCE NO. 1191 MUNICIPAL BUILDING'
MOUNT PROSPECT, ILL.
AN OHDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC WALK AND IDiHURST
STRM~ IDCNl'ED AT 433 \NEST RAND ROAD
\liHEPEAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect, havir~ reviewed and determined that the public interest will
be sub served by the vacating of the public walk and a portion of Elmhurst
Street, more fully described hereinafter; and
W1~S, certain easements will rerrain in effect on the subject
property, the easements bei~ for sar~tary sewer purposes to Prospect
Meadows and for a public walk; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of 'l'rustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect, Illinois, have determined that the best interests of the
Village is served by tr~ vacatir€ of said public walk and portion of
Elmhurst Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT OBDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND EDARD OF
'l'RUSTlliS OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Tent the public interest of the Village of
, Mount Prospect will be subserved by vacating the following portions of
public walk and Elmhurst Street, to-wit:

Said part of Elmhurst Street to be vacated, being all that
part thereof, C33 feet in width), as shown on the plat of
Prospect Meadows, being a Subdivision in the West 1/2 of __~
the Southwest 1/4 of Section 27, 'l'ownship 42 North, Range 11, -
East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying North of and
adjoini~ the North line of the South 147.58 feet of the
Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 27 and
Southwesterl~' of and adjoining the Northeasterly line of
Lot 8 in Block 3 in said Prospect MeadovJS" extended Southeasterly
to the East line of said Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of
Section 27 and lying fast of ani adjoining the East line of said
Lot 8 in Block 3 and said East line of Lot 8 extended South to
said North line of the South 147.58 feet of the Northwest 1/4
of the Southwest 1/4 and \lJest of and adj oining the East line of '
said Quarter, Quarter Section and, that part of the pUblic walk
to be vacated, being all that part of said pUblic walk, (bei~~
20 feet in width), extending in an Easterly and Westerly
direction through Block 3 in Prospect Meadows, aforesaid,
lying West of and adj oining the East line of Lot 8 in Block 3
in sai6 Subdivision extended South to the North line of the
South 147.58 feet of the F~st 147.58 feet of the Northwest 1/4
of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 27, lying Easterly of and
adjoining a line drawn from a point on the Northwesterly line of
Lot 14 in said Block 3, 1~8.o feet Southwesterly of the Northeast
corrler of said Lot 14 to the most Southerly corner of Lot 8
aforesaid, and lying South and Southeasterly of and adjoining
the South and Southeasterly lines respectively of said Lot 8,
lying North of and adjoining the North line of the South 147.58
feet of the East 147.58 feet of the northwest 1/4 of the South-
"'lest 1/4 of Section 27 and lying Northwesterly of and adjoining
that part of the Northwesterly line of Lot 14 aforesaid which
lies 1c.asterlv of aforedescribed line extending from said North-
westerly lin~ of Lot 14 to the most Southerly-corner of said
Lot 8, all beirlg in Block 3 as aforesaid in said Prospect
Meadows, in Cook County, Illinois.

An accurate map of the territory is attached hereto and made a part hereof
by this reference, be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public walk
and street from the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook, Illinois.
SECTION T\,-/O: Tt.at the public walk and portion of Elmhurst Street
described in Section One herein be and the same is hereby vacated.
SECTION THP.EE: 'l'r.at the public walle and portion of Elmhurst Street
described in Section One be and the same is hereby subject to the following
easements:
(a) For sar!itary sewer purposes to Prospect IVleadows reserved
to the Chicago Metropolitan Sanitary District.
(b) For puulic walk reserved to the Village of Mount Prospect.
SEC'l'ION FOUE: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed to file in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois, a copy of t.r~s Ordinance, together with an accurate
rrap of the teITitory vacated.
SEC'l'ION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval in the rranner provided by law.
