HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2032 10/03/1967 " 1)/ Zu 304 596 ORDINANCE NO. 2032 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND ABUTTING THE SOUTH SIDE OF KENSINGTON AND THE NORTH SIDE OF RAND ROAD APPROXIMATELY 1074 FEET EAST OF SAID INTERSECTION. WlIEREAS. the property legally described herein is not within any municipality and is less than sixty (60) acres in area; and WllEREAS. said land and territory is both contiguous and wholly bounded by the Village of Mount Prospect; and WllEREAS. the Statutes of the State of Illinois and in particular Section 7-1-13 of Chapter 24 thereof (Illinois Revised Statutes 1966) provides for the annexation of said territory upon the passage of an ordinance by the Village; and WllEREAS. the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect. County of Cook. find and believe it would be to the best interests of the Village that the herein described land and terri- tory be annexed thereto; NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That all land and territory legally described as follows. to-wit: f) That part of the E 1/2 NE 1/4 of Section 34 and the West 1/2 Northeast 1/4 of Section 34, all in Township 42 North; Range 11 East of the 3rd Principal Meridian described as follows: All that land lying within the following described boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of Wheeling Road and Kensington Road which is the East line NE 1/4 Section 34-42-11 Westerly for a distance of 849.51 feet along the centerline of Kensing- ton Road, which is the point of beginning. Thence South for a distance of 217.8 feet, thence Westerly for a distance of 400.0 feet, thence Southward paralleling the West line of the East 1/2, Northeast 1/4, Section 34-42-11 for a distance of 952.64 feet which is a point of the centerline of Rand Road (S. A. Route 12), thence Northwesterly for a distance of and along said centerline of Rand Road (S. A. Route 12) approximately 288.52 feet, thence North for a distance of 450.65 feet. t~nce East- erly for a distance of 140.0 feet, thence North, paralleling the East line West 1/2, Northeast 1/4, Section 34~42-11 for a distance of approximately 500.00 feet to a point on centerline of Kensington Road centerline, thence Easterly for a distance of approximately 466.0 feet, a point on said centerline which is a point of beginning. All lying in said Section 34, Town- ship 42 North, Range 11, East of the 3rd Principal Meridian. SECTION 2: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds in Cook County, Illinois. . .
