ORDINANCE NO. 2033
AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the following described territory is not within the
corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of
Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described contains no tract
of land in excess of ten (10) acres in area which is included in the area
without the express consent of the owners thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the corporate authorities of the
Village of Mount Prospect to annex the territory hereinafter described to
the Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That it is the desire of the corporate authorities
of the Village of Mount Prospect to annex the territory legally described as:
PARCEL 1
That part of Lot One (1) in Friedrich Busse, Jr. Division of land
in Section 23, Township 41 North, Range II, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, as per plat recorded on February 20, 1911 as
Document No. 4709799 described as follows: Commencing at a point
in the South line of the North 448.65 feet of said Lot One (1)
200 feet East of the West line thereof; thence South on a line
parallell with the West line of said Lot One (1) 426.34 feet to the
center line of Algonquin Road, being the Southerly line of said
Lot One (1); thence Southeasterly along said center line of
Algonquin Road, 320.75 feet, to a point which is 545.45 feet
Southeasterly of the Southwest corner of said Lot One (1) as
measured along said center line; running thence North parallel to
the West line of said Lot, 576.35 feet to the South line of the
North 448.65 feet of Lot One (1); thence West on said South line
285.46 feet, more or less to the place of beginning, in Cook
County, Illinois.
PARCEL 2
Beginning at a point in Frederich Busse, Jr. Division of lands in
the W 1/2, NW 1/4 Sec. 23-41-11, which is 874.98 feet South of
the North line of W 1/2. NW 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11 and East of said
line 763.93 feet, thence proceeding South for a distance of 400
feet from said point, for a distance of 750 feet which is southeasterly
and parallel to the existing center line of Algonquin Road, thence
North 400 feet to the center line of Algonquin Road, thence north-
westerly along said center line of Algonquin Road for a distance of
750 feet which is pt. of beginning, all in the W 1/2. NW 1/4,
Section 23, Township 41 North, Range II, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.

PARCEL 3
Beginning at a point on the center line of Algonquin Road which is
1456.20 feet north of the south line of E 1/2. NW 1/4 of Sec.
23-41-11 thence South for a distance of 400 feet on said line,
thence proceeding southeasterly and parallel to the center line of
Algonquin Road for a distance of 845.0 feet, thence north 400.0
feet to a point on the center line of Algonquin Road, thence
northwesterly along said center line of Algonquin Road for a distance
of 845.0 feet to point of beginning, all in the E 1/2, NW 1/4 of
Section 23, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
PARCEL 4
Beginning at a point which is 595.07 feet west of the east line
of the E 1/2, NW 1/4 of Sec. 23-41-11 and 650.0 feet north of the
south line of E 1/2, NW 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11 which is point of beginning.
Thence north of said point for a distance of 400.0 feet to a point on
the center line of Algonquin Road, thence Southeasterly for a distance
of 995.0 feet along said center line of Algonquin Road, thence south
for a distance of 400.0 feet, thence northwesterly and parallel to
the center line of Algonquin Road for a distance of 995.0 feet to
the point of beginning, part in the E 1/2, NW 1/4, Section 23-41-11,
part in the W 1/2, NE 1/4, Section 23, Township 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
PARCEL 5
Beginning at a point which is 270.77 feet East of the west line of
the W 1/2. NE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11, thence north 190.0 feet of the
south line of the W 1/2. NE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11, which is point of
beginning. Thence North 400.0 feet to a point on the center line
of Algonquin Road, thence southeasterly for a distance of and along
said center line 470.0 feet, thence south from said center line for
a distance of 375.0 feet, thence west 62.0 ft. thence northwesterly
for a distance of 400 feet, which is point of beginning, all in the
W 1/2, NE 1/4, Section 23, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
PARCEL 6
Beginning at a point which is 640.0 feet east of the west line of
the W 1/2, SE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11, which said point is on line of the
north line of the W 1/2, SE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11 for the point of
beginning. Thence southeasterly for a distance of 743.81 feet
to a point which is 289.0 feet south of the north line of the W 1/2,
SE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11 and said point also is on the east line of the
W 1/2, SE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11, thence east for a distance of 200.0
feet, which is east of the west line of E 1/2, SE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11,
thence north 315.0 feet to a point on the center line of Algonquin
Road, thence northwesterly on the center line of Algonquin Road
for a distance of 963.0 feet, thence south 375.0 feet, thence west
62.0 feet, to a point of beginning, part in the W 1/2, SE 1/4,
23-41-11, part in the W 1/2, NE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11, part in the
E 1/2, SE 1/4, Sec. 23-41-11, East of the Third Principal Meridian
in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: It is hereby requested that the property herein-
above described be annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, and it is
also requested that the Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County submit
the question of annexation of subject territory to the electors of said
unincorporated territory as hereinabove described.
SECTION THREE: That the Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook
County is hereby requested to enter an order fixing the time for the
hearing on said Ordinance in the manner provided by law.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval in the manner prescribed by law.
