ORDINANCE NO. 2040
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAP 16N OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Plan Corranission of the Village of Mount Prospect here-
to fore on July 21, 1967 conducted a public hearing under Case No. 67-17P
on a request for a zoning classification change from R-X (Single Family
District) to B-3 (Business - Retail and Service District) of certain property
hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid public hearing was made in the
manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Corrmission has determined that the zoning change
is in accord with the overall plan in that area and it would in no way be
detrimental to the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Corrmission of the Village of Mount Prospect has
recorrmended that the zoning change be granted; and
WHEREAS, the Judiciary Committee of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect did meet on November 13,1967, and reviewed
Case No. 67-17P, and have determined that said recorrmendation of the Plan
Conmission would be in the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have determined that the best interests of the Village of
Mount Prospect will be attained by the adoption of the Plan Corrmission' s
recormnendation on Case No. 67-17P regarding the subject property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VIILAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, IILINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Map 16N of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of
Mount Prospect, as amended, be and is hereby, further amended by reclassifyning
from RX (Single Family District) to B-3 (Business - Retail and Service District)
the following described property:
Lot 2 (Except the West 140.0 feet thereof and except the East
80.0 feet thereof) in N. J. Funk's Subdivision of the South
150 feet of the North 511.60 feet of that part of the Northwest
1/4 of the Northwest Northeast 1/4 lying West of the center line
of Rand Road of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East
of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois,
SUBJECT, however, to an easement 20 feet in width for public
utilities over a portion thereof.
SECTION TV.{): This Ordinance shall be in full force from and after
its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
