Welcome to Mount Prospect - April 28, 2007: Dale reported that invitations will be mailed during the last two weeks in March. The Village is handling the mailing list and the actual mailing. Our goal is to increase attendance this year. In the past, we have sent 300-500 invitations, with a resulting attendance of approximately 50 people. We are hoping that by combining this event with the Fun & Fitness Walk, that attendance will increase. Janice is handling the prizes. Art Fair - June 23, 2007: Skip reported (for Teresa) that 17 applications have been received, which is lower than in the past at this point in time. The deadline for applications is the end of March. Mike discussed distributing flyers at the Mt. Prospect schools to generate interest and nominees for the Art Scholarships. We agreed to provide $100 scholarships for one art student from each of the Mt. Prospect schools. Fourth of July Parade: No report necessary. We discussed possibly starting the music at 9:15 P.M. instead of9:00 P.M.. We tossed around a couple of ideas for the next theme, one being "Ground Hog Day" and one related to our 90th birthday. Ground Hog Day merited a few chuckles, and it would be a belated 90th, or more accurately, our 91 st birthday in 2008. Other: None
