AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE V ENTITLED "OTHER REGULATIONS" OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECTr ILLINOIS WHEREAS, Section 6 (a) of Article VII of the Constitution of the State of Illinois (1970) provides that any municipality which has a population of more than 25,000 is a Home Rule Unit. The Village of Mount Prospect, with a population in excess of 25, 000 may, therefore, exercise any power and perform any function per- taining to its government and affairs; and WHEREAS, the sale of real property owned by the Village of Mount Prospect pertains to the government and affairs of the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS,, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village find that it would be in the best interest of the Village to establish procedures for the sale of real property owned by the Village; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE :PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Article V entitled "Other Fe'gulations" of Chapter 8 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section 8. 514 to be entitled "Procedures for the Sale of Village Owned Real Estate" and to read as follows: "Sec. 8. 514 Procedures far the Sale of Village Owned Real Estate The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect shall authorize the sale of any real property owned by the Village of Mount Prospect by adopting an ordinance providing therefor. Such Ordinance shall be adopted by a majority of said corporate authorities and shall contain at least the following-, A. the names of the purchasers of the property; B. the legal descr, ( iption of the property; C. the purchase price of the property - Do, a finding by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village that the purchase price to be paid for .W the property is fair, reasonable andjust; E. a finding by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village that the property is no longer necessary, appropriate or required for aunicipal use; and F. the real estate contract for the purchase of property. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XX OF C H A P T E R 18 (TRAFFIC C 0 D E ) - BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION CINE: That Schedule XI -A of Article XX of Chapter 18 (Traffic Code) of the Village of Mount Prospect be, and the same is hereby further amended by deleting therefrom .the wording "Wille St., East and West, Btw. Busse Ave. and Central Rd." SECTION TWO: That Schedule XII of Article XX of Chapter 18 (Traffic Code) of the Village of Mount Prospect be, and the same is hereby further amended to add the wording "Wille St., East and West, Btw. Busse Ave. & Central Rd." in proper alphabetical sequence; so that said addition shall hereafter be and read as follows: Name of Side of Street Street -Description Wille St. East & West Btw.
