Announcements VIII® OLD BUSINESS A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE (Chapter 18) This Ordinance provides for the various amendments to the Traffic Code as recommended by the Safety Commission and Village Board. B. ZBA 23-V-81, 910 Willow Lane, Ist reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A DRIVEWAY VARIATION FOR PROPERTY AT 910 WILLOW LANE As recommended by the Zoning Board of Appeals and Village Board, this Ordinance grants a variation to permit a circular driveway at the subject 1 o c a t i o n . Z 33-V-81, Briarwood Shopping Center Ist reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SPECIFIED PARKING VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY AT BRIARWOOD SHOPPING CENTER This Ordinance provides for the variations granted from parking requirements. D. Ist reading of AN ORDINANCE IMPLEMENTING AUTOMOBILE RENTING USE TAX ACT Recently adopted State Legislation provides for local municipalities to collect a tax for the use of rented automobiles,, this Ordinance will serve as notice to the State of Illinois that Mount Prospect does intend to exercise its option to collect such a tax. E. Ist reading of AN ORDINANCE IMPLEMENTING MUNICIPAL AUTOMOBILE OCCUPATION TAX ACT This Ordinance is presented in conjunction with this preceding Ordinance. (Exhibit A) (Exhibit D) (Exhibit E) IX. NEW BUSINESS -heard by tZoning A. The following cases were he Board of Appeals meetings December 3 & 17. 1. ZBA 24-V-815 2 West Northwest Highway A request for a variation from the Sign Ordinance relative to size of the sign. The Zone Board of Appeals recommends, approval- of the request. 2. ZBA 27- t,201 E. Kensington Road A request for B-4 zoning from B-3. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommends denial of request. 3. ZBA 37-V-81, f National Bank, Rand Road Request for variation from Sign Ordinance to permit a sign on the side, of the building. Zoning Board of Appeals, recommends approval.. 4. ZH 29-A-81, Text Amendment Proposed amendment would permit six foot fences along rear lot line when s,uc.h lot line abuts an arterial road. Zoning Board, of Appeals recomm,en,.is approval. 5. ZHA 30-A-81, Text Amendment To provide for service stations as a special use in a B-3 District. Zoning Board of Appeals recommends approval. 6. ZHA 31-A-81, Text Amendment T'o provide for residential care homes. Zoning Board of Appeals recommends denial. X. MANAGER'S REPORT A. A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ANNUAL 1,000 HOUR STANDARD FOR ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND PARTICIPATION This Resolution increases the number of hours required to participate in IF from 600 to 1,,000. (Exhibit F) B. Renewal of lease for Chicago -Northwestern Railroad property C. Selection of Auditors D. Acknowledge receipt of Moter Fuel Tax Audit for 1980 E. A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS This Resolution appropriates $3,285.56 as the final amount for the Westgate Road impro vernent. (Exhibit G) F. A RESOLUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (IDOT) This Resolution is passed annually to permit work within rights - of -way. (Exhibit H) G. A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS This is an annual appropriation of funds for salt, traffic signal maintenance, etc. totalling $150,000. (Exhibit J) H. A RESOLUTION OF INVOLVEMENT OF MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE AND WOMEN'S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE IN THE CONSTRUCTION GRANTS PROGRAM This is a requirement of the EPA in conjunction with Step #2 of the Sewer Rehabilitation Design Aid Application Program. ANY OTHER BUSINESS A. ist reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V ENTITLED "OTHE"R REGULATIONS" OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE VILLAGE CODE This Ordinance sets forth the procedures for the Sale of Village Owned Property and incorporates the procedures in the Village Code. It reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE (Chapter 18) Isom In conjunction with the Busse/Wille improvement, this Ordinance places a 4 hour parking limit on Wille Street, between Central Road and Busse Ave. (Exhibit M) XII.
