RESOLUTION NO. 29-74
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE NUMBER OF OFFICERS AND MEMBERS
OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section L!, 901 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of
1957, as amended, the President and Board of Trustees shall designate by Resolu-
tion the number of officers and firefighters of the Fire Department of the Village of
Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have determined that the Fire Department should be increased in order to adequately
serve newly annexed land and territory and in an effort to provide a truck company
on itial response to all structure fires; and that all prior Resolutions previously
adopted pertaining to the complement of Fire Department personnel should be re-
pealed and a new Resolution should be adopted establishing the number and rank
of officers and members of the Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That, pursuant to Section 4.901 of the Municipal Code of Mount
Prospect of 1957, as amended, there is hereby authorized (under the jurisdiction
of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Mount Prospect) for
the Fire Department of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, the
following personnel:

*Note: The present Fire Chief (having' been appointed Chief
By the Village Manager pursuant to the terms of Article IX of
Chapter 4 of the Mount Prospect Municipal Code of 1957, as
amended, and the applicable Illinois Revised Statutes) shall
retain his rank of Lieutenant and shall continue to serve as
one of the such Lieutenants hereinabove authorized.
SECTION TWO: That Resolution No. 18-74, passed and approved June 4, 1974,
be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
