A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING SMOKING IN CERTAIN
AREAS IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT (EXHIBIT A)
This ordinance will prohibit smoking in certain public places and places of
employment.

1. 1 reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
AND DEVELOPMENT CODE EXCEPTION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
103 SOUTH MAPLE STREET
This ordinance grants a six month extension of Conditional Use Permit granted
by Ordinance 5404 and a Development Code exception for storm water detention.
The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 7-0.
2. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE MOUNT
PROSPECT HISTORICAL SOCIETY, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS

FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 108 SOUTH EMERSON STREET
This ordinance grants a Conditional Use Permit to operate a gym. The
Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 7-0.

1 reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC)
OF THE VILLAGE CODE (EXHIBIT C)
This ordinance approves NO PARKING restrictions on the west side of
Elmhurst Avenue from Henry Street to a point 150’ south. The Safety
Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 8-0.

LAND ACQUISITION 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (5) - The purchase or lease of real property for
the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether
a particular parcel should be acquired.
PERSONNEL 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) - The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline,
performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, including hearing testimony
on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity.
LITIGATION 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) - Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf
of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative
tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case
the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.
