On Friday, 1 1the AssistantVillage. .!.' and Executive
Assistant to the Village Manager met with applicant Mr. Jun Takanarita regarding
his request for the creation of a new Class "F-3"" liquor license for the above -
referenced establishment to reflect the change in ownership. The Class ""F-3"'
license provides for a restaurant with a lounge involving the full service of
alcoholic beverages.

Mr. Takanarita love for Jazz music, made it a perfect ownership change. Fujiko
Takanarita, Jun's wife, currently owns the Murasaki Sake lounge in Chicago. She
has owned the restaurant for the past seven years. Her knowledge as a
restaurateur along with a large network of Japanese entrepreneurs in the
hospitality industry will be advantageous to the continued success of

The • particular sensitivity to ' sale of alcohol to minors and over service
to clearly intoxicated individuals were also discussed along with the Village's no
fight ordinance. Mr. Takanarita indicated that he read and understood the
requirements of the Village Liquor Code.

A completed application along with fees and required documents have been

submitted. The new owner has submitted to fingerprinting and a backgroun'
check. If the Village Board considers this application favorably, an Ordinance
creating a new Class "F -T` liquor license should be adopted with the current F-3
license deleted upon completion of the sale.
