RESOLUTION NO. 42-77
A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR THE SERVICE
EXTENDED BY MABAS - MEl\lBER COMMUNITIES
WHEREAS, on November 19, 1977, it became necessary for the Village of Mount
Prospect Fire Department to call for mutual aid assistance in fighting a fire in the
I Marathon Petroleum fuel storage facility located at 3233 South Busse Road in
I unincorporated Mount Prospect; and I
" WHEREAS, the sUbject matter and location of the fire combined with an inadequate I
, water supply created an extremely ~ange~ous and ha~ardo.us ~Onditi~n; and I
WHEREAS, each of the men respondmg wIth some 35 fIre-fIghtmg unIts deserves i
II formal recognition as well as the grateful thank you from the Village of Mount prosfel

II NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES I
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: !

I SECTION ONE: That by this Resolution the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the I
Village of Mount Prospect express to each man and each fire department respondint
to the scene of the aforementioned fire, the appreciation and gratitude of the Villa!
of Mount Prospect for the service rendered on that day as well as each and every
II day the mutual aid system continues to serve the residents of the Northwest Subu!' ax
II area. I
'III SECTION TWO:' That the Village Clerk shall furnish certified copies of this ResolJ,--'
tion to the fire chiefs of the following communities, including the Chief of the I
