HESOLUTION NO. 4'{-77
A RESOLUTION REGARDING MAPLECREST TOWNHOUSE COMPLEX
I
!
I WHEREAS. the Village of Mount Prospect furnishes water to the residents of the
Maplecrest Townhouse Complex located on Judith Ann Drive under a 1959 agree-
, ment with Citizens Utilities Company; and
I
I WHEREAS. the aforesaid Citizens Utilities Company has made no provision for an
I additional water source to supply the aforesaid l'tlaplecrest Townhouse Complex;
I and
I WHEREAS. the Village of l\1ount Prospect charges the aforesaid Citize:n.s Utilitii?S
I Company on the basis of the Village's standard water rate. pursuant to the terms
I of the rate ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
I VlliEREAS. the said Citizens Utilities Company thereupon inflates the cost of
I delivering such Mount Prospect water and bills the IvIaplecrest residences
accordingly; and
I VlHEREAS. the individual owners of the Maplecrest Townhouse units protest this
mark-up of Village water by Cith~ens Utilities Company;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. COOK COUNTY. ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE_: That the aforedescribed contract and billing procedure is
repugnant to the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect as vleE
as the several citizens of the Village of Mount Prospect directly affected thereby.

II SECTION TWO: That the Village of Mount Prospect urges Citizens Utilities

I Maplecrest Townhouse Complex is served by Village water.
i SECTION THREE: That a certified copy of this Resolution expressing' the sentiment
