AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERrAIN PROPERrY LOCATED ADJACENT TO ~lELlER CREEK
WHERF..AS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have purchased a site for use a a retention basin in conjunction with
Special Assessment #70; and
WHEREAS) the Village of Mount Prospect is the record owner of the
land hereinafter described, and;
WHEREAS, the said parcel abutts and is contiguous to Hatlen Heights
in the Village of Mount Prospect, but is not wi thin the corporate lirni ts of
any municipality; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect find and believe it to be in the best interests of the said
Village that said land and territory be annexed thereto;

1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section II, Township 41 North, Range

Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Lot UK" thence North
along the West line of said I.Dt 283.66 feet; thence East parallel
with the South line of said Lot 759.49 feet to the center of
Weller Creek; thence Southeasterly along the center line of ~leller
Creek 283.93 feet to the South line of said Lot "K"; thence \Alest

SECTION 2: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is
hereby directed to file in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois a certified copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate
map of the territory annexed.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
