ORDINANCE NO. 2050
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAP 7S OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Plan Conmission of the Village of Mount Prospect hereto
fore on October 20, 1967 did conduct Public Hearing under Case No. 67-23P
on a request for a zoning classification change from R-l (Single Family
District) to B-2 (Restricted Business District) of certain property
hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, a notice of aforesaid Public Hearing was made in the
manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner did submit a linen of resubdivision of the
property hereinafter described whereon there is indicated that a minimum
5 foot front yard building line be established and a minimum 20 foot building
line be established from the southerly property line, and further indicated
that the building will not occupy more than 2800 square feet of the property
in question and that one parking space would "IDe provided for every 270 square
feet of net floor space (includes all levels above and below grade except
those areas used for storage, heating, air conditioning units and other
appurtenances to maintenance of the building); and
WHEREAS, the Plan Conmission has determined that the zoning change
in that area would in no way be detrimental to the Village of Mount Propect;
and
WHEREAS, the Plan Conrnission of the Village of Mount Prospect has
reconmended that the zoning change be granted; and
WHEREAS, the Judiciary Committee of the Board. of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect did meet on December 1, 1967 and reviewed Case No.
67-23P and have determined that the said recorrmendation of the Plan Cormnission
would be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board. of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have detennined that the best interests of the Village of Mount
Prospect will be attained by the adoption of the Plan Commission reconmendatio
on Case No. 67-23P regarding the subject property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUST
OF THE VIILAGE OF MOUNr PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That Map 7S of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of
Mount Prospect, as amended, be and is hereby further amended by reclassifying
from R-l (Single Family District) to B-2 (Restricted Business District) the
following described property:
Lot 4 in Block 1 in Meier's Addition to Mount Prospect in
the Northwest quarter of Section 12, Township 41 North,
Range il, East of the Third Principal Meridian.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and af'ter its passage, approval and publication in the manner proVided by law.
