ORDINANCE NO. 2060
AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE VIILAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the following described territory is not within the
corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of
Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described contains no tract
of land in excess of ten (10) acres in area which is included in the area
without the express consent of the owner thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the corporate authorities of the
Village of Mount Prospect to annex the territory hereinafter described to
the Village of Mount Prospect, pursuant to Chapter 24, Sections 7-1-1
through 7-1-7 of the Illinois Revised Statutes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That it is the desire of the corporate authorities of
the Village of Mount Prospect to annex the territory legally described as:

Parcel 1 .0
All of Bluett's Fairview Gardens including all public streets,
parks and school ,grounds in the aforesaid Bluett's Fairview
Gardens being a subdivision of part of the West 1/2 of the
East 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 and of part of the East 1/2 of
the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 35, Township 42
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in
Cook County, Illinois,
together with
All of First Addition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens including
all public streets, parks and school grounds in the aforesaid
First Addition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens being a subdivision
of part of the West 1/2 of the East 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4
and of part of the East 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4
of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois,
together with
All of Second Addition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens including
all public streets, parks and school grounds in the aforesaid
Second Addition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens being a subdivision
of part of the West 1/2 of the East 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4
and of part of the East 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4
of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois (excepting fran the
aforesaid Second )!ddition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens Lot 171
together with all of the vacated Henry Street lying South of
and adjoining said Lot 171 and also excepting Lot 197 together
with all of Homer Lane lying West of and adjoining said Lot 197
in the aforesaid Second Addition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens),
together with
All of Third Addition to Bluett's Fairview Gardens including
all public streets in the aforesaid Third Addition to Bluett's
Fairview Gardens being a subdivision of part of the East 1/2 of
the Southeast 1/4 of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois,
(excepting from the aforesaid subdivision Lots 302 and 303 and
ther<W feet public alley surrounding said Lots and the public
road 50 feet wide known as Wolf Road lying East of and adjoining
said Lots 302 and 303 and also excepting Lots 304 and 305 in the

Goelz's Prospect Gardens, being a subdivision of the West 1/2
of the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 together with the East

of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois, together with that
part of Westgate Road being 40 feet wide which lies West of and

of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County Illinois,
together with all that part of Westgate Road being 40 feet wide
which lies West of and adjoining Lots 6,7 and 8 aforesaid and also
all that part of Westgate Road being 80 feet wide which lies West
of and adjoining Lots 9, 10 and 11 aforesaid and also that part of
Central Road lying North of the South line of the Southeast 1/4 of
Section 35 aforesaid which lies South of and adj oining Lot 4 in
C.A. Goelz's Prospect Gardens aforesaid, and also all that part of
Meadow Lane being 66 feet wide which lies South of and adj oining
Lots 13 and 14 in C.A. Goelz's Prospect Gardens aforesaid.

Goelz's Prospect Gardens being a subdivision of the West 1/2 of
the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 together with the East 2/3 of the
North 3/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 35,
Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian
in Cook County, Illinois together with that part of Westgate Road
being 40 feet wide which lies West of and adj oining Lots C, D, E
and F aforesaid.

Lots 1 and 2 of the Resubdivision of Lot 2 in C.A. Goelz's
Prospect Gardens being a subdivision of the West 1/2 of the West 1/2
of the Southeast 1/4 together with the East 2/3 of the North 3/4
of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 35, Township
42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook
County, Illinois, together with that part of Marcella Road being
33 feet wide which lies East of and adjoining Lots 1 and 2 aforesaid.

to plat thereof recorded January 3, 1946 in Book 356 of Plats on
page 24 as Document No. 13688886, in Cook County, Illinois,
together with all that part of Meadow Lane being 66 feet wide which
lies South of and adjoining Lots 5,6, 7 and 8 aforesaid and all
that part of Glenna Lane being 40 feet wide which lies North of
and adjoining Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 aforesaid.

SECTION 2: It is hereby requested that the property hereinabove
described be annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, and it is also
requested that the Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County submit the
question of annexation of subject territory to the electors of said
unincorporated territory as hereinabove described.
SECTION 3: That the Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County is
hereby requested to enter an order fixing the time for the hearing on said
Ordinance in the manner provided by law.

SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner prescribed
by law.
