subdivision be approved, and that the Chairman and ,Secretary be
authorized to ,sign the Plat. All members Voted Aye, and the
Chairman declared the motion approved.
FREDI ANI .SUBDIVISION
Mr. "red Tani, described his request to subdivide this 2.6 acre
,site into eight lots to be developed for the construction of
single family homes. He .stated that no other variations or
modifications are requested. The Village Engineer had reviewed
this proposal and round that it met all requirements.
Mr. Velasco submitted a motion, which was seconded by Mra
Kloster, that the subdivision be approved, and that the Chairman
Secretaryand beauthorized to signPlat. All • - voted
Aye, and the Chairman declared the motion passed.
KATHCON SUBDIV'IS'ION
The petitioner, represented by Mr. Gregory Miller, was ,seeking
approval of the Final. Plat of Subdivision; nine family homes will
be constructed on this land. Mr . Sims reminded the Commission
that it had reviewed ( and approved) the preliminary Plat and that
there had been no substantive changes except for thew street name;
a revision made pursuant to a Police/Fire Departments' request.
The Village Engineer had sent a memo ,stating the Plat had been
reviewed and was found to have met all requirements to make it
acceptable,
Mr. Kloster moved, and Mr. Velasco seconded, that this subdivis-
ion be approved and that the Chairman and ,Secretary be authorized
to .sign the Plat. All member: Voted Aare and the Chairman
declared the motion passed.
CHAPMAN SUBDIVISION
The hearing of this subdivision was postponed pending resolution
of an easement. issue.

OLD BUSINESS

A. Bi -Centennial Celebration Committee
1. On Memorial Day, Mayor Krause will plant, a "Living Legacy"
tree in Melas Park.
2. Mr. Weibel displayed a Bi -Centennial lapel pin will .soon go on
sale for a minimum donation of $3, the proceeds of which will be
used to offset Celebration expenses. 450 have been ordered
initially. Mr. Velasco recommended that local organizations be
,solicited to purchase these pins. It was noted that the 70th
anniversary of Mount Prospect coincides with the Constitution
Bicentennial.
3o At the next Board meeting, the Committee will present the
Village with a set of inside and outside Bi -centennial commemora-
tive
ommemora--
tive flags.
B. Mr. Boege inquired as to the reasons for the delay in install-
ing the Randhurst sidewalks. Mr. Sims responded that he expects
these to be installed ,shortly alone with a Bus Shelter.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Weibel indicted that the .soon -to --be considered Kennicott
subdivision (1840 golf) may represent a controversial matter and
urged all Commission members to become familiar with- the "issues.
Mr. Velasco reported that his wife is recovering nicely and
thanked Commission members for their expression of concern as
well as the flowers. Mr ., Weibel Circulated Mrs. Ve lasco' s thank
you note.
Mr. Weibel noted the presence of Sherry Boemel., a Dai

reporter.,
There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meet-
ing adjourned at 9:20 P.M*
