The Zoning Beard of Appeals recommended granting the requests by a vote of 6-0. 1. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT (Exhibit A) 2. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SPECIFIED SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 14 ENTITLED "ZONING ORDINANCE" (Exhibit B) 3. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP WITH RESPECT TO THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN AN I--1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS (Exhibit C) 4. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS LAKE CENTER. PLAZA- INITHE VILLAGE .OF MOUNT PROSPECT (Exhibit D) 5. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE IN THE NATURE OF A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT FROM PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS LAKE CENTER PLAZA IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS (Exhibit E) 6. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING MODIFICATIONS FROM CHAPTER 16 "DEVELOPMENT CODE" FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS LAKE CENTER PLAZA (Exhibit F) 7, Lake Center Plaza Plat of Subdivision B. PLAZA UNITED, Busse Road between Algonquin Road and Dempster Street Request for a modification from the Development Code for a commercial development known as Plaza United, located on the east side of Busse Road between Dempster. The request is to permit a detention area with a 3:1 slope rather than the required 6:1. The Plan Commission recommended approving this request by a vote of 6-1. This item is,continued until such time as all the required documents are submitted to the Village* C. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE ADDING ARTICLE IX ENTITLED "REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX" TO CHAPTER 8 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT BY PROVIDING FOR A REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX This Ordinance establishes a Real Estate Transfer Tax of 0.10%. (Exhibit G) D. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XVII, HOTELS AND MOTELS, OF CHAPTER 11 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT BY PROVIDING FOR A HOTEL/MOTEL USE TAX This Ordinance establishes a 3% Hotel/Motel tax. (Exhibit H) E. lst reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE X, FOOD AND BEVERAGE TAX, TO CHAPTER 8 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT BY PROVIDING FOR A PRIVILEGE TAX ON FOOD AND BEVERAGE AND ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance creates a 1% tax on food, beverage and alcholic liquor. (Exhibit J) F. ZBA 18-Z-87 and ZBA 19 -SU -87, Fairway Properties These cases, as amended, deal'with a request to. rezone from R-1 to B-3 and a special use in the nature of a planned unit development in order to construct a shopping center. The Zoning Beard of voted 3--3 at the f first, hearing and ' 1 in favor and 5 against' at the , last hearing. G. PUBLIC HEARING This Public Hearing, called pursuant to proper legal notice being published -in� the' Mount Prospect Herald, is for the purpose , of considering the annual tax levy far the f iscal year 1987,/88. 1. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE MUNICIPAL PURPOSES OF SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NUMBER ONE, SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NUMBER. TWO, SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NUMBER THREE, SPECIAL SERVICE .AREA NUMBER FOUR., AND SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NUMBER FIVE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 10, 1987 AND ENDING APRIL 30, 1988 (Exhibit K) 2. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE CORPORATE AND MUNICIPAL PURPOSES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT FOR. THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 1, 1987 AND ENDING APRIL 30, 1988 (Exhibit L) T. 645 South Meier Road lst reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SPECIFIED MODIFICATIONS FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 645 SOUTH MEIER ROAD, IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS This Ordinance grants modifications from the Development in conjunction with subdividing the property to permit the construction of a single family home. The Petitioner will execute a Restrictive Covenant stating that at such time the administration requires the improvements, he will install them. The Plan Commission recommended granting this requests by a vote of 6-0. ( Exhibit M) I. Iaccino Subdivision, 645 South Meier Road This subdivision, being the subject of the preceeding Ordinance, creates one lot of record. J. Kensington Center for Business lst reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SPECIFIED MODIFICATON FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS KENSINGTON CENTER. FOR BUSINESS This Petitioner is requesting a modification from the Development Code to permit a cul de sac 896 feet in length, rather than the 500 feet permitted. The P1an'Commission recommended granting the requests by a vote of 5-1. (Exhibit N) K.
