AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAP 7S OF THE MOUNT PROSPEGr
ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of l\1ount Prospect heretofore
on October 18, 1968 conducted a public hearing under Case No. 68-43P
on a request for a zoning classification change from B-3 (Business - Reta-il
and Service District) to B-4 (Business - Retail and Service District)
of certain property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was wade in the October 1,
1968 issue of the Prospect Day in the mamer provided by law: and
WHEREAS, the Plan Comnission has determined that the said zoning change
is in accord with the overall plan in that area and would in no way be
detrimental to the Village of Mount Prospect; and
vJI1EREAS, the Plan Comnission of the Village of Mount Prospect by a
vote of 7-0, has recommended that the Zoning change be granted on
condition that the building plans as presented be the plans used for
construction; and
WHEREAS, the Judiciary Comnittee of the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect met on January 9, 1969 and reviewed Case No. 68-43P
and have determined that the said recommendation of the Plan Corrrrnission
would be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect have determined that the best interests of the Village of Mount
Prospect will be attained by the adoption of the Plan Commission's reco~
mendation in Case No. 68-43P regarding the subject property;
NOvI, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD. OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Map 7S of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of
Mount Prospect, as emended, be and is hereby further amended by reclassi-
fying from B-3 (Business - Retail and Service District) to B-4 (Business -
Retail and Service District) the following described property:
Lots 1 and 2 (except the West 64 feet thereof) of Block 7
in Mount Prospect, being a subdivision in the t'lest half of
Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal l\1eridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: That the zoning reclassification herein granted shall be
null and void and of no force or effect whatsoever, and that the subject
parcel heretofore described shall revert to its prior B-3 (Business ..!ko"
Retail and Service District) classification; unless construction shall be
in accordance with the building plans attached hereto and made a part hereof,
and unless such construction shall commence by July 1, 1969.
SECTION THREE: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication in the mamer provided
by law.
