ORDINANCE NO. 2143 AN ORDINANCE AMEJ.''JDING MAP 231'IJ OF THE MJUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect hereto on June 21.. 1968 conducted a Public Hearing under Case No. 68-37P on a request for a zoning classification change from R-X (Single-Family Residence District) to B-4 (Business - Retail and Service District) of certain property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS.. a notice of the aforesaid Public Hearing was made and published in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS.. the Plan Commission of the 11 illage of Mount Prospect has recommended that the zoning change be granted; and WHEREAS.. the President and Board of Trustees did pass Ordinance No. 2112 at their regular meeting conducted on October 22.. 1968 granting the requested B-4 zoning classification for one parcel under Case No. 68-37P.. premised on the submission of a linen of resubdivision of that parcel; and WHEREAS.. the Judiciary Committee did meet on January 30.. 1969 and review the linen of resubdivision with respect to the remaining parcel under Case No. 68-37P and reco1'J'll1'ended the zoning reclassification as requested by the petitioner; and WHEREAS.. the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have determined that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be attained by the adoption of the Plan Cormnission' s recommendation on Case No. 68-37P regarding the subject property; NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECI'.. COOK COUNTY J ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Map 23N of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect.. as amended, be and is hereby further amended by reclassifying from R-X (Single-Family Residence District) to B-4 (Business - Retail and Service District) the following described property: PARCEL 2: That part of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 27.. Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal ~l!eridian.. described as follows: C~ncing at the intersection of the center line of Rand Road with the East line of the said East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 27, said point of intersection being 198.97 feet North of the South line of said Section 27; thence Northwesterly alcng the said center line of Rand Road, 439.93 feet; thence Northeasterly on a straight line to a point on the East line of the East half of the Southwest quarter of said Section 27.. 439.93 feet North of the intersection of the said East line with the center line of Rand Road; thence Southerly along the said East line to the point of beginning, (excepting therefrom that part thereof hereto- fore dedicated for public highways.. in Cook . County.. Illinois.) SEarlON' 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.. approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
