AL~ ORDINANCE ANNEXING DISTRICT 26 SCHOOL PROPERrY
TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the River Trails School District No.
26, Cook County, Illinois, did, in accordance with Section 7-1-14 of
Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised statutes, adopt a Resolution recorrnnend-
ing the annexation of the two parcels of real estate, the Feehanville
School and the River Trails Junior High School, hereinafter legally
described to the Village of tilount Prospect, which Resolution did contain
all the necessary requirements so as to comply with the Statutes made and
provided; and
wlIEREAS, a copy of said Resolution was duly delivered to the Village Clerk
of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is contiguous to the cor-
porate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect and not with:1n the cor-
porate boun.daries of any municipality; and
WHEREAS. the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook Coun.ty, Illinois, do believe it to be in the best inteIlsts
of the Village of Mount Prospect, that the properties hereinafter '
described be, in fact, annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF rlOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the territory and lands hereinafter described, to-wit:
PARCEL 1:
The north 800.0 feet of the south 1330.0 feet of that part of the East 1/2
of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 26, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal tiferidian, lying east Of the west 635.0 feet thereof,
in Cook Comty, Illinois,
together with
PARCEL 2: The west 50 feet of the north 800.0 feet of the south 1330.0
feet of the west 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 25, Township 42
North, Range 11, east of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Ill-
inois, comprised of 13.456 acres
Also
PARCEL 1: The west 300 feet of the south 600 feet of the East 1/2 of the
Southeast 1/4 of Section 26 and the east 260 feet of the south 600 feet
of the west 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 26, all in Township 42
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois,
together with
PARCEL 2: The north 50 feet of the west 300 feet of the east 1/2 of the
Northeast 1/4 of Section 35 and the north 50 feet of the east 260 feet
of the west 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 35. all in Township 42
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois, comprised of 8.356 acres.

SECTION '1\'10: That the bound.a.ry lines of the Village of Mount Prospect
be hereby enlarged and extended to as to include within its corporate
boundaries the above-described real estate.
SECTION THREE: That the Village Clerk is directed to file a certified
copy of this ordinance, togethe:r with an accurate map of the above terri-
tory, with the Recorder of Deeds, Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION FOUR: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication in the marmer provided by law.
