The regular meeting of the Mount Prospect Plan Commission was callef
to order by Chairman Donald Weibel at 8.-00 P.M. at the Village Hall,

Mr. Velasco's motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of

The petitioner was represented by Marty Meadow. Petitioner was
requesting four variances regarding street lighting,
A discussion followed, It was a consensus opinion that there would be
inadequate lighting particularly at the Southeast Corner of Meier and
Lonliquist if there was a modification of the Code granted for street
lights. Accordingly, Mr. Boege made a moti''on that the petitioner's
request be denied, Six members vote aye, 0 nay. chairman Weibel
declared the. motion to deny approved,

The petitioner requests a Comprehensive Plan change from a Low Density

Multi-ramily Residential to a Community Commercial, also, a modca-
tion'to the Development Code to permit bungs to be a minimum of 30
feet from detention facilities,

A. Constitution BiCentennial committee . Mr. Weibel states that the
week of September 17 to 23 will be proclaimed Constitution Week
by Mayor Krause at the Village Board meeting September 6. in
addition, public forums will be held on constitutional"issues at
the Mount Prospect Library each month starting September 13,
Additional events are being planned for Constitution Week with
the Historical society.
B. Mr. Weibel states that the tree planted in honor of deceased
chairman Hal Ross, now has a plaque in place, Pictures taken
will be forwa,.*L-.ded to Mrs. Ross.
C'. Following the Plan Commission meeting of August ---3, regarding the
presentation and review of a bicycle program for Mount Prospect,
Mr. Velasco commented on his survey taken, The idea of a stripe
made along the street path, which he proposed, created both
favorable and unfavorable comments.
