B A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING MEMBERS OF THE NORTHWEST MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE TO ADOPT BANS ON 'HAPPY HOURS' AND OTHER ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SPECIALS (Exhibit A) C. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE This ordinance establishes a policy prohibiting "Happy Hours" or special events promoting serving o alcoholic beverage. (Exhibit B) D. Request for Class "C" liquor license Phar -Mor, Inc. has requested a class "C" liquor license for their new location in the Plaza II Shopping Center, Golf and Elmhurst Roads (formerly Striking Lanes Bowling Alley) E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 ENTITLED "ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR DEALERS" OF THE THE VILLAGE CODE TO ADD THE CLASS "Z11 LIQUOR CLASSIFICATION This ordinance creates a Class 11Z11 liquor license for the Snuggery. OLD BUSINESS A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V ENTITLED "METERS AND RATES" OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance exempts certain properties within the Prospect Meadows area from the recently adopted surcharge. (Exhibit C) B. ZBA 19-V-88, Lot 6, Kathcon Subdivision 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1431 BONITA This ordinance grants variations to permit a 11U11 shaped driveway; a driveway width of 30 feet; a 3 car garage 643 square feet; an impervious surface coverage of 37%; and a 20 foot front yard. The Zoning Board of.Appeals recommended granting most of these requests. The requests denied have since been reduced since that hearing. (Exhibit D) C ZBA 20-V-88, Kathcon Subdivision 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR CERTAIN PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE KATHCON SUBDIVISION This ordinance grants variations to permit 3 car garages on lots 1, 21 31 41 51 71 8 and 9 within the Kathcon Subdivision. The request for circular driveways on the same lots was withdrawn by the Petitioner. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting the request for 3 car garages. (Exhibit E) IX. NEW BUSINESS A. ZBA 13 -SU -88, Shell Oil, Rand & central The Petitioner is requesting an amendment from an existing Special Use in order to allow a new enclosure around an existing porch which results in an additional 258 sq. ft. to the building. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommends granting this amendment by a vote of 6-0. B. ZBA 21-V-88, 1427 Park Drive The Petitioner is requesting a variation to permit a swimming pool in the side yard 5 feet from the side lot line and beyond the building line. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommends granting this request by a vote of 6-0. C. ZBA 23-V-88, 1402 Sauk Lane The Petitioner is requesting a variation to permit an existing shed in the side yard 1.5 feet from the side property line and to permit a 611 separation between the shed and house. By a vote of 2 Ayes and 4 Nays, the Zoning Board of Appeals recommended denying the request. D. Kensington Center Plat of Subdivision No. 23 This subdivision creates two lots from one within the Kensington Center for Business. The Plan Commission recommended approving this subdivision. E4 A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS This Resolution appropriates $115,000 for the Cree Lane - Basswood Lane improvement. (Exhibit F) F. A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS This Resolution appropriates $778,000 for the General Maintenance program for 1988. (Exhibit G)
