The meeting was called to order at 7,:

Leo Floros, George Van Deem and Theodore Wattenberg. Absent
from the meeting were: Trustees Arthur and Murauskis, Also
present at the meeting were: Village Manager Terrance
Burghard and Cable Television Coordinator Karen Diet. Also
present were two persons from the print media,,
MINUTES
The Minutes of the Committee of-, the Whole meeting of
October 22, 1985 were accepted and filed.
III* CITIZENS TO BE HEARD

There being no citizens present who wished to make a
presentat ion before the Con -mi ttee of the Whole, the
Corrmittee moved on to the next 'Item of business.
IV* CABLE TELEVISION.,MIPMENT BIDS
Karen Giet reviewed the Cable Television Equipment Bids that
were received by the Village on October 28, 1985. The
Village had advertised 'in the newspaper pursuant to law and
specifically *Invited three firms to bid. Only two bids were
submit ted* one by Swiderski Electronics and the other by
Roscor Corporation,
Based upon an analysis of the bids, Karen Diet recomrnended
that the bid be awarded to Roscor Corporation for an amount
01 not to exceed $107,9x.2. This 'Includes $84,1 12 for the
Senior Building equipment and $22,030 for the' planned
expenditure of editing equipment included in this year's
Budget. The bid price also "Includes all work to initiate
the operation of the system as well as a one year
maintenance agreement. The bid of Swiderski amounted to
$111,897 'Including a service contract but excluding the
editing equipment,
Trustee Farley inquired as to the n.. �h�� rr�r �
during the production and the purchase of an additional
recorder. Ms. Gi et responded that three cameras were
necessary for an adequate production and the additional
recorder would allow Channel 63 to alN r at the same time
editing was taking place. Trustee Van Geern 'Indicated that
he had discussed the technical aspects of this equipment
tri p
th the production people at his place of business and they
supported the concept that the equipment was needed for
quality production.
Trustee Wattenberg VE and Trustee Van Geom SECONDED that
the Village acquire the necessary equipment pursuant to the
