PRESENTATION: Ralph Stadler has served 40 years in the Volunteer Fire Service B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 This Ordinance creates one additional Class "S" liquor license for property located at 1796 S. Busse Road 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 606 S. BUSSE ROAD This Ordinance,will allow a carport in the required front yard and permits both a garage and carport. At the last Village Board meeting, the petitioner was directed to secure the opinion of an engineer as to whether the carport structure was sound. The Zoning Board of Appeals is final on the variation to permit the encroachment into the front yard however Village Board action is required on the request to permit both structures. (Exhibit L) X. NEW BUSINESS A. PUBLIC HEARING This Public Hearing, held pursuant to notice being published in the Mount Prospect Herald, is to consider the annexation of territory generally located'at Lincoln and Douglas Avenue. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY CONTAINING 60 ACRES OR LESS TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS This Ordinance annexes approximately 16 acres of territory generally located north of Lincoln Street, west of Meier. Notice of this proposed involuntary annexation was published in the,Mount Prospect Herald, pursuant to law. (Exhibit M) 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SCHEDULE V AND XI -B OF ARTICLE XX OF CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC CODE) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This Ordinance prohibits parking on Prospect Avenue on the south side of the street in front of Busse Car Wash. Parked cars have caused a hazard to vehicles exiting the car wash as well as vehicles turning from Maple Street to_ westbound Prospect Avenue. (Exhibit N) C. A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS This Resolution authorizes the appropriation of $50,000 for the improvement of Prospect Avenue between Pine & Wille Streets. The proposed improvements include resurfacing, sidewalks, curbs an gutters. - (Exhibit 0) D. Request by the Village for modifications from the Development Code for the Village owned property on Lonnquist to be sold. The Village has asked to waive the sidewalk, street lighting and tree planting requirements on We Go Trail. This is an area 150 feet long and is actually a deadend half -street. The Plan Commission recommended approval this change by a vote of 5-1. X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. Bids; 1. Prospect Avenue, Pine to Wille 2. Boxwood Park B. Tax Increment Financing Property Acquisition Special counsel is preparing Ordinances and contracts for the acquisition of certain parcels within the District. These will be available at the meeting. XI. ANY OTHER BUSINESS A. Wheeling Court Resubdivision This plat vacates 50 feet of land previously dedicated for the Wheeling Road extension and gives the land back to the adjoining property owners. The Plan Commission recommended approving the plat. XII. ADJOURNMENT
