ORDllMNCE NO. 2214
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAPS 26s AND 36S OF THE
MJUNT ProSPECT ZCNING ORDINANCE
\mEREAS J the Plan Corrmission of the Village of Mount Prospect did heretofore
conduct a public hearing under Case No. 69-l0P at the hour of 8:00 p. m. on
March 21 J 1969 J pursuant to a request for zm1ng classification changes in
conjunction with a plarmed unit development J which requested changes were
from R-X (Single-Family Residence District) to B-3 (Business - Retail and
Service District) and R-4 (Residential :cevelopment District) to B-3 (Business -
Retail and Service District) for certain parcels of property hereinafter
described; and
WHE:REAS J a notice of the aforesaid public hearing was made in the manner Pl"o-
vided by law and published in the March 4 J 1969 edition of a newspaper of
general circulation within the Village of Mount Prospect; and
\tJHEREAS, the Plan Conmission has recommended that the zoning changes be granted
in that they would in no way be detrimental to the Village of Mount Prospect;
and
WHEREAS J the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
on November 25, 1969, did hold a pre-annexation hearing in the manner provided
by law, regarding the aforementioned request for a planned unit development;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have determined that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will
be attained by the adoption of the Plan Commission's recal'lIrendation under
Case No. 69-l0P regarding the subject property;
NOW J THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUS'lEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Map 26s of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount
Prospect J as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by reclassify-
ing from R-X (Single-Family Residence District) to B-3 (Business - Retail and
Service District) that part of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter
of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal lVeridi
described as follows:
Ccrnmencing at the Southeast comer of the Southeast
1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section; thence
West along the ?\brth line of the Southeast 1/4 of said
Section 1079.32 feet; thence North on a course forming
a deflection angle from West to North of 91 degrees
03 minutes 48 seconds with the South line of the South-
east 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section to a
point 500.0 feet south of the center line of a
Public Road (Golf Road) said point being designated
as the beginning of the following tract of land; thence
continuing North along said line to a point 50.00 feet
South of the center line of a Public Road (GOlf Road);
thence West parallel with said center line to the point of
intersection with the West line of the Southeast 1/4 of the
Northeast 1/4 of said Section; thence South almg

the West line of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast
1/4 of said Section to a point 500.00 feet South
of the center line of said Public Road (Golf Road);
thence East to the place of beginning, all in
Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: That Map 36S of the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Mount Prospect, as amended, be and the same is
hereby further amended by reclassifying portions thereof
from R-X (Single Family Residence District) and R-4 (Residen-
tial ' Development District) to B-3 (Business - Retail
and Service District) the following described property:
PARCEL 1
The North 445.00 feet of the East 485.00 feet
of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of
Section l4~ Township 41 North, Range II, East
of the Third Principal Meridian, excepting
therefrom the East 50.00 feet thereof, all in
Cook County, Illinois.
PARCEL 2
That part of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast
1/4 of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, described
as beginning at the Northeast corner of said
Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section
14, thence West 20 chains; thence South 14.35
chains; thence East 8.50 chains; thence North
2.35 chains; thence East 11.50 chains; thence
North 12 chains to the point of beginning
[excepting from said premises that part thereof
lying West of a line 562.0 feet East of and
parallel to the West line of the aforesaid
Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4, and also
excepting from said premises that part thereof
lying Northerly of a line described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the East line of the
Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 aforesaid,
210.03 feet (measured along the said East line)
South of the Northeast corner of said Southeast
1/4 of the Southeast 1/4) and running thence
West along a line which is 210.0 feet South of
(measured at right angles to) and parallel with
the North line of the said Southeast 1/4 of the
Southeast 1/4 a distance of 702.09 feet; thence
running Southwesterly for a distance of 630.50
feet more or less to a point on the West line
of said Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 which
point is 313.80 feet South of the Northwest
corner of said Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4]
in Cook County, Illinois.

SECTION THREE: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage J approval and publication in the manner provided by
law.
