Several of these people have bushes located in mid -block. They do not feel that these bushes represent a hazard, and they don't want to trim them. In their opinion, drivers speeding down Westgate would only in- crease their speed with improved visibility. Representing the Village at this meeting were Village Manager Dixon, Trustees Corcoran and Clowes, and myself. The final understanding at this meeting was that the above residents will form a committee and will present the Village with a proposed ordinance change on Saturday morning, August 10. Their intent is to come up with some type of standard with limitations for the Village on enforcement. Within two weeks, the committee will send to the Village a list of those documents that they feel they will need to draft changes to the existing rules. They did state that they want copies of all those lawsuits that were filed as a result of parkway/site obstructions going back at least five years; names of the parties involved would not be applicable. Trustee Corcoran offered to communicate with the residents per- sonally if need be and, at his request, there will be a moratori- um on enforcement of any ordinance relative to obstructions on parkways until such time as a citizens committee and the Village Board can agree on a revised document. These residents also want more speed limit signs. on Westgate Road and will also be addressing the subject of parking on driveways in public rights- of-way. ights- of-way. Mr. Pietraszewski addressed the trustees relative to a sign on the Kensington Road side of Opus identifying an adjacent busi.- ness. He felt that this sign should not be allowed. Village Manager Dixon explained that efforts are underway to correct the problem. OX 4 .. .. ......
