Minutes of the meeting of March 4, 1978
Attending: Chairman Ronchetto, Commissioners Bachhuber, Beier, Clauser, Hasse, Hiehle,
Friedl, Linkman & Miller. Police Commander Ed Nastek.
Chairman Ronchetto called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
Commr. Linkman presented an update on the subcommittee study of the Police Department.
A discussion ensued.
Trustee Ed Wattenberg stopped in and indicated his support for the Commission and thanked
the Commissioners for their recent reports to the Board of Trustees.
Commr. Bachhuber moved that the statements on the Police Dept. suggested by Commr. Hasse
and read by Chairman Ronchetto be formalized in a report and forwarded to the Board of
Trustees for it's consideration. Seconded by Commr. Friedl. Commr. Bachhuber moved that
a statement on the Fire Dept. be added to the report. Seconded by Commr. Beier.
Passed 7-0. Commr. Miller abstained since he arrived late. Commr. Linkman didn't vote
because he left for another appointment before the vote was taken.
Chairman Ronchetto adjourned the meeting.
Police Commander Ed Nastek addressed the Commission and participated in the discussion.
The meeting tentatively scheduled for Thursday, March 9, was cancelled.
