Minutes of meeting January 31, 1978
Attending: Chairman Ronchetto, Commrs. Bachhuber, Beier, Clauser, Friedl,
Vice Chairman Hasse, Commrs. Hiehle, Linkman & Miller.
Ex -officio, -Dick Jesse, Mt. Prospect Finance Director
Commr. Clauser gave a report on his subcommittee's study of the Health Services Department.
A discussion ensued.
Commr. Clauser moved that recommendations 1 & 2 be amended, approved and sent to the
Mayor and Board of Trustees for consideration. Seconded by Vice Chairman Hasse. Report
approved 9-0 as amended.
Recommendations 3 & 4 were deferred for further study.
Commr. Clauser reported on his subcommittee's study on Senior Citizens' Services.
Commr. Beier moved that recommendation #1 be approved by the full Commission and sent
to the Mayor and Board of Trustees for consideration. Seconded by Commr. Friedl.
Passed 9-0.
Commr Beier moved that recommendation #2 be deleted from the report. Seconded by
Commr. Bachhuber. Passed 9--0.
Commr. Clauser moved that recommendation #3 as amended be approved by the full Commission
and sent to the Mayor and Board of Trustees for consideration. Seconded by Commr. Friedl.
Approved 8-1. (Commr. Hasse felt it should be more strongly worded.)
Commr. Clauser gave his subcommittee's report opposing the practice of giving free
vehicle stickers to some individuals.
Commr. Hiehle moved that recommendation #1 be approved as amended and sent to the Mayor
and Board of Trustees for consideration. Seconded by Commr. Miller. Passed 9-0.
Commr. Bachhuber moved that recommendation #2 be approved as amended. Seconded by
Commr. Friedl. Passed 6-2. (Commrs. Linkman and Baeir voting nay.)
Commr. Miller gave a supplemental report on his subcommittee's review of the Legal
Department. A discussion ensued and it was agreed to study this budget item further.
Commr. Hasse gave a preliminary report on his subcommittee's report on training and meeting
expenses as a budget item. It was agreed to give this area further study.
A meeting was set for Saturday, February 4 at 9:00 a.m.
Chairman Ronchetto adjourned the meeting.
