MOUNT PROSPECT FIREMENS PENSION FUND BOARD
OCTOBER 21, 1985
CALL TO ORDER
President Pairitz called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M.
ROLL CALL
Present upon roll call: Fire Chief Lawrence A. Pairitz, President
Richard Jesse, Treasurer
Ronald Olsen, Firefighter
Del Ulreich, Firefighter
Alan Labbe, Firefighter (arrived late)
George Cullens, Retired Firefighter
Carol A. Fields, Village Clerk/Secretary
Absent: Mayor Carolyn H. Krause
Village Attorney
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Del Ulreich, seconded by Ron Olsen, moved to approve the minutes of the
regular meeting of the Mount Prospect Firemens Pension Fund Board held
July 15, 1985.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Jesse, Olsen, Ulreich, Cullens, Fields,
Pairitz
Nays: None
Motion carried.
Del Ulreich, seconded by Richard Jesse, moved to approve the minutes
of the special meeting of the Mount Prospect Firemens Pension Fund
Board held July 31, 1985.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Jesse, Olsen, Ulreich, Cullens, Fields,
Pairitz
Nays: None
Motion carried.
Del Ulreich, seconded by Ron Olsen, moved to approve the minutes of the
special meeting of the Mount Prospect Firemens Pension Fund Board held
August 13, 1985.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Jesse, Olsen, Ulreich, Cullens, Fields,
Pairitz
Nays: None
Motion carried.
Alan Labbe arrived at this point in the meeting.
TREASURERS REPORT
Richard Jesse presented the Treasurers Report, noting that the total
par value of the Fund is $9,417,270.24. The various investments were
explained.
Carol Fields, seconded by Ron Olsen, moved to accept the Treasurers
Report as presented.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Jesse, Olsen, Ulreich, Cullens, Fields,
Pairitz, Labbe
Nays: None
Motion carried.
It was noted that A. H. Hanson had conducted an actuarial report on the
Pension Fund which report indicated the Fund is presently 191% funded.
OLD BUSINESS
The annual Illinois Professional Firefighters Association Seminar will
be held in Elmhurst later this month. Del Ulreich, Ron Olsen and Alan
Labbe all indicated their interest in attending. Richard Jesse was
authorized to issue a check to cover the fees for this seminar.
NEW BUSINESS
It was noted that George Cullens,, who is receiving a disability
pension, has attained the age of 50 and, in accordance with State
Statutes, no longer has to have an annual physical examination. This
also applies to all of those retired firefighters receiving disability
who have attained the ageaof 50 years.
ADJOURNMENT
Carol Fields, seconded by Richard Jesse, moved to adjourn the meeting.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Unanimous
Motion carried.
