Fund Board was requesting consideration to reduce the amount
paid by the members. Inasmuch as good investments had resulted
in total funding of both Pension Funds resulting in a reduced
tax levy, it was noted that possibly a portion of the medical
insurance could be relieved from the members. The amount being
paid presently is approximately $180.00 a month.
No action was taken since it was determined this subject was
not an item for consideration by a Pension Board.
There was also discussion on the subject of credit for volunteer
service time. At this time there are no provisions in State law
covering this subject.
