op.MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
MOUNT PROSPECT FIREMENS' PENSION FUND BOARD
JANUARY 4, 1985
CALL TO ORDER
President Pairitz called the meeting to order at 8:40 A.M.
ROLL CALL
Present upon roll call: Lawrence A. Pairitz, Fire Chief/President
Carolyn H. Krause, Mayor
Richard L. Jesse, Trea"surer
Lt. Donald E. Barra, Firefighter
Del Ulreich, Firefighter
Ron Olsen, Firefighter
Carol A. Fields, Secretary/Village Clerk
BUSINESS
It was noted that Lt. Donald E. Barra has applied for
medical disability pension. Lt. Barra has obtained the
medical opinion of two doctors - Dr. Magee and Dr. Neal.
Both doctors expressed the same opinion, that Lt. Barra has
a medical problem with both knees which prohibit him from
carrying out the prescribed duties of a member of the Fire
Department.
Del Ulreich, seconded by Ron Olsen, moved to accept the
medical opinions as submitted and request Lt. Barra to
be examined by Dr. Orr for a third opinion.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Krause, Jesse, Ulreich, Olsen,
Fields, Pairitz
Nays: None
Pass: Barra
Motion carried.
It was noted that an appointment would be made within the
next week in order to have the third opinion presented at
the next regular meeting of the Board on January 21. The
Medical Committee would then present a recommendation to the
full Board on Lt. Barra's application for medical disability.
There being no further business, Del Ulreich, seconded by
* Dick Jesse, moved to adjourn the meeting.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Unanimous
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 A.M.
