ORDINANCE 2230
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION B OF SECI'ION 23.306 OF THE MUNICI-
PAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND ORDINANCE NO. 2200
WHEREAS, the "Engineering and Feasibility Report on Sewer and Water Facilities
of the Utility Sewer and Water Company for Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois" t
published by Consoer, Townsend and Associates (PP 15 and 28) during August of
1969, indicates that the existing sewer and water rates of the said Utility
Sewer and Water Company were not to be changed upon the purchase by the Village
of Mount Prospect of the facilities of the said Sewer and Water Company; and
WHEREAS, it was the intent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect in passing Ordinance No. 2200 to maintain the said existing
rates, and incorporate the said rates within the provisions of Section 23" 306 ;
and
WHEREAS, the minimum charge for water per month, a part of the said existing
rates, was inadvertently omitted from Paragraph 2 of Subsection B;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILUNOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Paragraph 2 of Subsection B of Section 23.306 of the flJunici-
pal Code of Mount Pro;:>pect of 1957, as amended, be and is hereby further amende
by adding to the very end of the said Paragraph 2 provisions for a mini~ char,,,
of $4.00 per month, so that the said Paragraph 2 of Subsection B of Section
23.306 shall hereafter be and read as follows:
"2. Not:;'Nithstanding the foregoing, all Village users residing in
the certified are in the Village of Mount Prospect serviced by the
Utility Sewer & Water Co. prior to October 18, 1969. shall pay the
following rates per month:
First 4,000 Gal./Month Net $1.00 per 1,000 Gal./1V[onth
Next 3,000 Gal./Month Net $ .90 per 1,000 Gal./Month
Next 5,000 Gal./Month Net $ .60 per 1,000 Gal./~bnth
Over 12,000 Gal./Month Net $ .40 per 1,000 Gal./Month
Minimum Charge: $4.00 per Month."
SECTION 'I'WO: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and pUblication in the manner provided by law.
