ORDINANCE NO. 2245
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 56.94 ACRES LYING BETWEEN GOLF ROAD AND
WILLOW LANE AND EAST OF BUSSE ROAD 'TO 'THE VILLAGE OF MOUNr PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the land hereinafter described is both contiguous to the
Village of Mount Prospect and whoilly bounded on all sides by the
Village of Mount Prospect ;and
WHEREAS, the said territory is not presently within the boundaries
of any municipality; and
WHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) acres; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Revised statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13
provide for the amexation of such territory by the Village upon
passage of an ordinance pursuant thereto; and

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that the said land
and territory be amexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECI', COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECI'ION ONE: That all land and teITitory legally described as follows,
to-wit:

That part of the West 1/2 of Section 14, Township 41 North,
Range 11 East of the Third Principal ~1eridian described as
follows; cormrencing at the point of intersection of the East
line of the West 1/2 of the West 1/2 of Section 14 aforesaid
vlith the center line of Golf Road; thence South along the
East line of the v.lest 1/2 of the Hest 1/2 of Section 111 afore-
said to the Northeast comer of LDt 2 in Block 2 in Elk Rtdge
Villa Unit No. 1 being a subdivision in the West 1/2 of the
West 1/2 of Section 14 aforesaid; thence \^Jest along the North
line of LDt 2 in Block 2 aforesaid and along the extension
West of the North line of Lot 2 in Block 2 aforesaid to a
point on the East line of Lot 12 in Block 1 in Elk Ridge
Villa Unit No. 1 aforesaid; thence South along the East line
of Lot 12 in Block 1 aforesaid to the Northeast corner of
Lot 13 in Block 1 aforesaid; thence Westerly along the Northerly
line of Lots 13 through 25 both inclusive to the Northwest
corner of Lot 25 in Block 1 aforesaid; thence Southerly along
the Westerly line of Lot 25 in Block 1 aforesaid to the North-
east comer of Lot 27 in Block 1 aforesaid, thence Westerly
along the Northerly line of Lot 27 in Block 1 aforesaid 75
feet; thence Northerly at rif.,ht angles to the Northerly line
of Lot 27 in Block 1 aforesaid to the Northerly line of Lot
28 in Block 1 aforesaid; thence Westerly along the Northerly
line of Lot 28 in Block 1 aforesaid and along the extension
Westerly of the Northerly line of Lot 28 in Block 1 aforesaid
to a point on the West line of Section 14 aforesaid; thence
south along the West line of Section 14 aforesaid to a point

10.0 feet South of the Southwest corner of the Northwest 1/4
of Section 14 aforesaid, said point also being the point of
intersection of the center line of Willow Lane as laid out
in Elk Ridge Villa Unit No. 1 aforesaid; thence southeasterly
along the center line of Willow Lane to the point of intersec-
tion with the East line of the West 1/2 of the \.;rest 1/2 of
Section 14 aforesaid; thence North along the East line of the
West 1/2 of the vlest 1/2 of Section 111 aforesaid 341.46 feet
more or less to the point of intersection with the South line
of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 14 aforesaid; thence East
along the South line of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 14 afore-
said a distance of 754.17 feet; thence North along a line
which forms an angle of 88 degrees 59 minutes 33 seconds from
East to North to the center line of Golf Road; thence Westerly
along the center line of Golf Road to the point of beginning,
all in Cook County, Illinois;
which territory is not presently within the boundaries of any muni-
cipality but is in the unicorporated teITitory of Cook County, is
contiguous to the Village of ~1ount Prospect, is wholly surrounded
by 'the Village of Mount Prospect and corrprises 56.94 acres and
is, therefore, less than sixty (60) acres in size; be and is hereby
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory
shall be included within the bounda.rY lines and limits of the Village
of Mount Prospect as is by law in such case made and provided.
SECI'ION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurate plat of said teITitory with the Recorded
of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force andefffJct
from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the marmer
provided by law.
