MINUTES
MOUNT PROSPECT CABLE TELEVISION
PUBLIC ACCESS COMMISSION

I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m. by John Coleman. Present
at the meeting were Michaele Skowron, Chuck Bennett, and John Coleman.
Absent were George Frazier and Mary Wajer. Also present was Karen Giet,
Mount Prospect Cable Television Coordinator.
II APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approval of minutes was held until the December C as the November 1
minutes hadnot been received.
III. NEW BUSINESS
John Coleman suggested to the Commission that they assess their goals
for 1985. He felt that the Commissions role for promoting public access
was even more important in light of the merger between TCI and Cablenet.
"Brainstorming" of 'ideas:
Programming
(1) Survey find out what community wants on Channel 63.
Question Village Clerk on responseto Speak Out and question
Joyce Cable on their questionaire on ;programs desired.
(2) Michaele S'kowron suggested the Commission produce a tape,
"What Is Public Access? This tape would make organizations
aware of what it takes to be part of the process of public
access. This tape would/co,uld be used in conjunction with a
Commission Speakers Bureau.
Karen warned that getting production crews is a problem and
that that aspect should be considered when developing the
script.

The first program in the series, "I Didn't Know That will be
taped on November 13th. George Frazier will be the host.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m'. Called by Michaele Skowron
and seconded by Chuck Bennett.
