provide some type of traffic control in the Prospect
Meadows Subdivision was reviewed. This subdivision is
located approximately one-half mile west of the Rand/
Kensington & Elmhurst Roads intersection. The main
complaint of the 17 homeowners in'attendance, was the
number of motorists who use Prospect Manor, Forest Ave.
and Elmhurst Ave. as a short cut between Rand Road and
Kensington Road. Other complaints included speeding,
disregarding stop signs and damage to lawns and mail
boxes.
After considerable discussion Chairman Beening request-
ed, the Engineering staff to send the 160 +/-homes in
the Prospect Meadows subdivision a questionaire solicit-
ing their opinion on the three options discussed
1. No Left Turn from Prospect Manor onto Rand
Road and No Right Turn from Rand Road onto
Prospect Manor between the hours of 6:00-10:00
AM and 4:00-7:00 PM., 7 days a week.

restrictions.
After the questionaires are completed and returned it will be
discussed again before the Safety Commission.
B. A request from Mrs. Simon, 1827 Sitka Lane for Stop or
Yield signs at the intersection of Lama Lane and Tano
Lane was reviewed. Mrs. Simon informed the Commission
she and her neighbors have had several close calls at
this intersection and it is in need of some type of
traffic control. Drew Johanson stated the view is
restricted by large evergreen trees for the southbound
approach to the intersection and recommended the
installation of Yield signs.
Commissioner Mitchell, 2nd by Commissioner May moved to
recommend the installation of Yield signs on Lama Lane
at Tano Lane.
Motion was passed unanimously.
C. A request from Mrs. Radtke, 903 E. Lincoln St. to remove
the two hour parking restriction on Lincoln St. between
George St. and Albert St. was reviewed. Letters were
sent to the homes affected by the parking restrictions,
of the four homes affected, two responded in favor of
removing the parking restrictions. There was no res-
ponse from the remaining two homeowners. Commissioner
May, seconded by Ed Cavello moved to recommend removing
the 2 hour parking restriction on Lincoln St. between
George St. and Albert St.
Motion was passed unanimously.
D. A request from Ms. Gordan, of Lieberman Management, Inc.
for a Four -Way Stop at the intersection of Huntington
Commons Road and Hunt Club Drive was reviewed. This
intersection has a Three -Way Stop with a private
entrance to a parking lot. It was the opinion of the
Safety Commission that the installation of signs on
private property is the responsibility of the property
owners and that if the homeowners wish to install this
Stop Sign, it be at their labor and expense.
Commission Member concurred unanimously.
