TV NEW BUSINESS
Aw T_request from Mr. Mahaffey, President of the
Huntington Commons Master Association, for a
3 -way STOP at the intersection of Huntington
Common Road and Hunt Club Drive was reviewed.
Currently traffic is controlled by a single
stop sign on Hunt Club Drive as it intersects
with Huntington Common Road. Previous traffic
studies conducted in 1974 and 1976 found that
a three-way stop was not warranted, based on
an analysis of traffic volume, accident data
and geometric conditions. In April, 1983, an-
other study was taken indicating there has
been no change from the previous studies and
a three-way stop is still not warranted.
Based on the results of this study and the
comparison to previous studies, Commissioner
Frank, and seconded by Commissioner Beening,
moved to recommend denial of the request for
a 3 -way STOP.
Motion passed unanimously.
B. A request from Mr. Rose, President, Board of
Commissioners, Mount Prospect Park District,
to allow parking on the south side of Gregory
Street adjacent to Meadow Park was reviewed.
