Village of Amt. Prospect
This is in regards to the one Way and Do Not Entex signs and the
No parking signs on Helena Avenue. We the people of Helena Avenue
wish to have all the signs taken down because of inconveniences.
JOINOW the street is wide enough to be a two way street. Also,
there would be no parking for visitors because of the No Parking
signs on both sides of the street.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I would like to make you aware of a hazardous traffic situation in Mt.
Prospect. The shopping center - Central Plaza - at Rt. #83 and Central
Rd. has its access from the south at Central Rd. This creates a traffic
pattern with automobiles entering at Central Rd. just west of Rt. #83.
Please refer to the attached diagram.
Last Saturday, and on many other occasions, I have so_(I-t autos wa,.i,ting to
turn into the access drive of Central Plaza. aphis creates a bacyup
situation, and on this particular Saturday, blocking traffic tr,iveiiing
west on Central- Rd. in both lanes. 'Alere have also been near rear -end
collisions due to the quick tilm required to negotiate this corner.
I would like to suggest a reversal of the traffic flow, with autos
exitering the shopping center from the north at Henry St. (see attached
diagram) . This would give access to the shopping center from several
directions. However, the exit at Central Rd, would have to be posted
as "Right Turn Only".
I know of your concern for safety in the Village from previous contact with
you and our village employees. Thank you for your consideration of this
matter.
