ADJOURNMENT Village of Mount Plrospect Mount Prospect, Illinois TO: FROM: SUBJECT: DATE: INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM Louis 9 Evergreen Streets A request was made for stop signs to be installed at the intersection of Louis and Evergreen Streets. Both streets are classified local and the intersection has no traffic control devices. On Tuesday, November 10, 1981 a traffic count was conducted showing the following results: Eastbound Evergreen - 246 vehicles Westbound Evergreen - 189 vehicles Northbound Louis - 309 vehicles Southbound Louis - 333 vehicles Total average daily — traffic: 1,077 vehicles 435 am The safe stopping sight distance of all four approaches to the inter- section are unobstructed. The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices criteria for no control (right of way rule) are as follows: DJ: jm 1. Total average daily traffic 1,500 or less. 2. Good approach visibility. 3. A history of less than three right angle accidents per year. I Village of Mount Prospect Mount Prospect, Illinois INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM TO: Safety Commission FROM: Drew Johanson DATE: December 1, 1981 SUBJECT: Robert and Willow Lane A request was made that the intersection of Robert and Willow Lane be a 4 -way stop. Willow Lane serves as a collector but is classified a -local street. Robert Drive is classified a local. The intersection presently has a 2 -way stop on Robert Drive. On Thursday, November 12, 1981, a traffic count was conducted showing the following results: Northbound Robert 494 vehicles 966 Southbound Robert 47.2 vehicles Eastbound Willow - 864 vehicles 1,870 Westbound Willow 1,006 vehicles Total average daily traffic: 2,836 According to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, the above count does not meet the criteria which would warrant a 4 -way stop. -- DJ: jm. b Village of Mount Prospect Mount Prospect, Illinois INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM TO: Safety Commission FROM: Drew Johanson IWATE: December 1, 1981 SUBJECT: Connie and Audrey Lane K request was received from Audrey Burian, 204 Audrey Lane, for a two-way stop sign at the intersection of Connie and Audrey Lane. Both streets are classified local and at the present time there is a single stop sign for eastbound traffic on Connie Lane. On Tuesday, November 10, 1981 a traffic count was conducted showing the following results: Eastbound Connie - 438 vehicles Westbound Connie - 86 vehicles Northbound Audrey - 165 vehicles Southbound Audrey - SOO vehicles Total average daily traffic: 1,189 vehicles According to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, the above count does not meet the criteria which would warrant a two-way stop_.
