HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2273 12/01/1970 " ORDINANCE NO. 2273 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 1.43 ACRES WEsr OF LINNEMAN ROAD AND sourn OF EVA LANE WHEREAS, the land hereinafter described is wholly bounded on all sides by the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the said territory is not presently wi thin the boundaries of any municipality; and WHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) acres; and WHEREAS, the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13, provide for the annexation of such territory by the Village upon passage of an ordinance pursuant thereto; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that the said land and territory be annexed thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLIN<DIS: SECTION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as follows: That part of the east 200 feet of the south 15 acres of the north 30 acres of the northeast 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian which lies south of the tract of land hereinafter described to wit: Beginning at the northeast comer of the said south 15 acres; thence west along the north line there- of, a distance of 203.0 feet; thence south a distance of 131.91 feet; thence southwestward along a curved line convexed to the northwest/,'of 348.0 feet in radius, having a chord length of 15.97 feet on a bearing of south 73:OJZ2' 08" west, for an arc length of 15.98 feet; thence south 10024'54" east, a distance of 60.41 feet to a point on the west line,'of the east 200 feet of the southwest 1/4 of said Section 14; thence northeastward along a curved line, convexed to the southeast of 267.15 feet in radius, having a chord length of 7.92 feet on a bearing of north 72054'11" east for an arc length of 7.92 feet to a point of reverse curvature; thence northeastward along a curved line convexed to the northwest of 288.0 feet in radius, for an arc length of 90.21 feet to a point of tangency on the north line of the south 316 feet of the south 15 acres of the north 30 acres of the northeast 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of said Section 14, thence east along the said north line, a distance of 103.97 feet to a point on the east line of the southwest 1/4 of said Section 14; thence northward along the said east line north 00058'49" east a distance of 178.45 feet to the point of beginning; which territory is not presently within the boundaries of any munici- pali ty, but is in the unincorporated territory of Cook County, is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is wholly surrounded by the Village of Mount Prospect, and comprises 1.43 acres and is, therefore, less than sixty (60) acres in size; be and is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Propsect so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of the Village of Mount Prospect-as is by law in such case trade and provided. SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Recordeil1 of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
