AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 1.48 ACRES LYING NOR'IH OF RAND ROAD
AT EAST IS1\BEI.J:,Ari STREEr EJ(TENDED

WHEREAS, the land hereinafter described is wholly o'ounded on all sides
by the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the said terTitory is not presently within the boundaries of
any municipality; and
WHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) acres; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13,
provide for the annexation of such terTi tory by the Village upon
passage of an ordinance pursuant thereto; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, find and believe It to be in the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that the said land
and territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUsrEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF IVDUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That all land and terTitory legally described as follows:
That part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4
of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian lying Easterly of the
center line of Rand Road (except the Northerly 100
feet thereof) in Cook County, Illinois;
which territory is not presently wi thin the boundaries of any munici-
pali ty, but is in the unincorporated terri tcry of Cook County, is
contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect, is wholly surrounded
by the Village of Mount Prospect, and comprises 1.48 acres and is,
therefore, less than sixty (60) acres in size; be and is hereby
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said
terTitory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of
the Village of Mount Prospect-as is by law in such case made and
provided.
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of
~eds of Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner
provided by law.
