ORDINANCE NO. 2275
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING l.!)l ACRES WEST OF LINNEMAN ROAD
AND SOurH OF GOLF ROAD
WHEREAS, the land here:inafter described is wholly bounded on all sides
by the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the said territory is not presently with:in the boundaries of
any municipality; and
WHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) acres; and
WHEREAS, the Ill:inois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13,
provide for the annexation of such territory by the Village upon
passage of an ord:inance pursuant thereto; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the
best intenests of the Village of Mount Prospect that the said land
and territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENl' AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That all land and terti tory legally described as follows:
The North 379.38 feet of the South 646.60 feet of the East
219.75 feet of that part of the West 1/2 of the Northeast
1/4 of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian which lies West of a line 7.38
chains West of and parallel to the East line of the West
1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 14 and which lies
South of the center line of Golf Road in Cook County, Illinois;
which territory is not presently within the boundaries of any municipal-
ity, but is in the un:incorporated territory of Cook County, is conti-
guous to the Village of MOUnt Prospect, is wholly surrounded by the
Village of Mount Prospect, and comprises 1. 91 acres and is, therefore,
less than sixty (60) acres in size; be and is hereby annexed to the
Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be
included within the boundary lines and limits of the Village of Mount
Prospect--as is by law in such case made and provided.
SECTION TWO: That the Village eIerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is
hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with
an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after tts passage, approval, and publication in the manner
provided by law.
