-
.AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEGrIONS 18 .AND 19.1 OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VIILAGE OF MOUNT PRQSPEGr
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of IVIount Prospect
did hold a pUblic hearing under Case No. 69-38P on December 19,
1969, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Village Hall, pursuant
to proper legal notice in a newspaper of general circulation
within the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the said Plan Commission on the aforerr:entioned date
did recommend to the President and Board of Trustees approval
of arrendments containedlfErein below. which amendments were
proposed as a part of Case No. 69-38P; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of MOunt Prospect have reviewed the amendments to Sections 18
and 19.1, proposed as part of Case 69-38P, and have concurred
with the said recorrmendation of the Plan Commission; and
WBEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of MOunt Prospect have determined that the adoption of the
proposed amendments hereunder is in the best interest of the
Village of ~Dunt Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT .AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT. COOK COUNrY, ILLINOIS:
SEmION ONE: That Sections 18 and 19.1 of the Mount Prospect
Zoning Ordinance, as amended, be and the same are hereby
further arrended by eliminating "Undertaking or funeral parlor"
as an applicable use in Section 19.1 and placing same in
Section 18, so that the said Sections 18 and 19.1 shall here-
after be and read as follows:
"Section 18. B-2 District: In the B-2 District, the only uses
which may hereafter be established are:
1. Uses permitted in the B-1 District.
2. Professional or business office.
3. Undertaking or funeral parlor.
4. Village Hall, Police or Fire Station, or other
municipal building.
5. General hospitals for humans, orphanages, horr:es for
aged and similar institutions, w!ith sleeping rooms
in number not exceeding one for each 500 square feet
of lot area."
"Section 19.1. B-3 District: In the B-3 District the only
uses which may hereafter be established are:
1. Uses permitted in the B-2 Districts.
2. Lodging house or hotel, with sleeping rooms in
number not exceeding one (1) for each five hundred
(500) feet of lot or area.
3. Retail greenhouse or nursery.
4. Restaurant (except drive-in variety), tavern or
confectionery .

5. Private nusic, dancing, business, vocational or
other school or college.
6. Temporary carnival or circus, operating not longer
than ten (10) days.
7. Parking lots for private self-propelled passenger
automobiles in operating condition.
8. Retail business establishments, except the following
uses hereby specifically excluded.
(a) Auto laundries.
(b ) Bot t ling works.
(c) Building material stora..ge yard; including coal.
coke, or wood yards, and lumber yards.
(d) Cleaning. dyeing, and laundry establishments.
(e) Industrial and manufacturing plants.
(f) Research laboratories.
(g) Public utility sub-stations and facilities.
(h) Industrial training center or clinic.
(i) Storage warehouses, including wholesale ware-
houses or business.
(j) Truck and bus terminals, and milk distributing
stations. "
SEGrION TWO: That, should any part or parts of this ordinance
be held unconstitutional, such unconstitutionality shall not
affect the remaining parts of this ordinance. The Board of
Trustees of the Village of ~Dunt Prospect hereby declares that
it would have passed the remaining parts of this ordinance, if
it had known that such other part or parts whereof would be
declared unconstitutional.
SEGrION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in
the manner provided by law.
