ORDINANCE NO. 2322
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect
heretofore on August 20, 1971, at the hour of 8:00 p.m., did
conduct a public hearing pursuant to proper legal notice under
Case No. 71-12P, pursuant to a request to rezone certain pro-
perty at the Northwest corner of Mount Prospect Road and Nor-
thwest Highway from the B-3 (Business - Retail and Service)
District to B-4 (Business - Retail and Service) District; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has determined that the zoning
change in that area would in no way be detrimental to the
I Village of Mount Prospect and has recommended that the re-
~ quest be granted; and

WHEREAS, the Judiciary Committee of the Board of Trustees of
the Village of Mount Prospect did meet on September 23, 1971,
and did review Case No. 71-12P, and have recommended that the
Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect concur with
the said recommendation of the Plan Commission to reclassify
the subject property to B-4 as requested; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect have determined that the best interests
of the Village of Mount Prospect will be attained by the
adoption of the recommendations of both the Plan Commission
and the Judiciary Committee in Case No. 7l-12P regarding the
subject property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:

if SECTION ONE: That Map 20-S of the Zoning Ordinance of the
II Village of Mount Prospect, as amended, be and the same is
'\ hereby further amended by reclassifying from B-3 (Business-
Retail and Service District) to B-4 (Business - Retail and
Service District) the following described property:
Lots 59 (except the Westerly 3 feet thereof), 60, 61,
62, and 63 in Maplewood Heights, being a subdivision
of the East 15.00 chains of that part lying North of
the Chicago and North Western Railway of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 12 (except the southerly 66 feet
for Road) also of Block 26 in Busse's Eastern Addition
to Mount Prospect in the East Half of Section 12, all
in Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.

III SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
I and effect from and after such time as an accurate plat re-
il subdividing the subject property described in SECTION ONE
II above is recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois, the removal of all non-conforming uses from the
subject property, and the passage, approval, and publication
of this ordinance in the manner provided by law.
